Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga chapters have been progressing rather steadily. Some fans have even drawn parallels to the One Punch Man series which was created by ONE.

One fan, in particular, noticed a mild similarity between Garou from One Punch Man and Code from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Despite some glaring differences, the manner in which Masashi Kishimoto’s series are progressing, it could make the two characters a lot more similar than what they appear to be at the moment.

Code and Garou's overwhelming strength, the manner in which they were introduced in the story, and the roles they have in the plot are some of the reasons why Code could be Garou's equivalent in the series.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and One Punch Man: Potential reasons why Code is being compared to Garou

Code was initially introduced as a major threat who could potentially take on and kill the protagoinst. While this detail might not have been the case with Garou, he too was introduced as the Hero Hunter who casually took out S-class heroes with little to no difficulty. Furthermore, when both of them were introduced, fans realized that they had a ton of potential in the series.

In the case of Code, he had his limiters which held him back. Fans knew that his powers would grow exponentially if Amado removed them. With that being said, the payoff was rather underwhelming, which is something that the writers could have worked on. In the case of Garou, his true potential was achieved when he came in contact with God. This entity partially granted its powers to him, and this resulted in him activating his most powerful form.

He was so powerful that he understood the flow of all energy that existed in the universe, allowing him to recreate nuclear fusion and nuclear fission. Code’s true powers weren’t revealed in the series, but the latest chapter gave fans some insight into his durability. When Boruto used his Rasengan Uzuhiko on Hidari, the attack was destroyed completely.

Hidari was no easy opponent since he was the Shinju entity who managed to push Sarada Uchiha to her limits. Sarada barely managed to keep up despite having the Mangekyo Sharingan.

While Code was disoriented, he didn’t seem to sustain much damage from the attack. This shows that he is levels above Hidari. At the time of writing, Code is portrayed as someone who is extremely weak. However, the series makes him one of the major antagonists by showcasing his true potential, much like Garou’s substantial improvement in his abilities after coming in contact with God.

Code and Garou were introduced as strong characters. Furthermore, both of them have had a massive improvement in their fighting abilities. They were minor antagoinsts in the story as well. There is a possibility that Code too could have a character progression arc and join the good side in the story. This is why fans have reasons to believe that Code could be the next Garou in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
