Shunju's sympathy for humans doesn't sit well with the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex fandom. Due to their tremendous difference in power, fans were expecting the Shinju to massacre humans at first sight and look down on them as inferior creatures. However, the opposite happened, and there might be a good reason for such behavior.

Since the beginning, the Otsutsuki clan members have used the Ten-Tails (Shinju) to devour planets using their chakra fruits. Even though there is no official confirmation of whether the Shinju have feelings, these beings might be fed up with the Otsutsuki and could be planning revenge against them. So, they might ally with the humans (shinobi) whom the Otsutsuki oppress.

Exploring an alliance between the Shinju and Shinobi in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex commenced with the reveal of new antagonists born from Code's Shinjutsu technique. These power beings, born from the Ten-Tails, were the Shinju, a group of sentient God Trees aiming to activate the formation of the chakra tree.

All of these beings share differing personalities, but Jura might be the smartest, given that he is the one whom the other beings consider their leader. In every fight, when the other Shinju are outclassed by their enemies, Jura always seems to emerge from the shadows and save his companions.

However, one strange thing about these sentient God Trees is their compassion and interest in humans. During the fight between Himawari and Jura in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the latter kept appreciating the former's abilities and battle IQ despite being enemies. While such actions have been usual since earlier days (Naruto), this appreciation felt out of place.

Moreover, in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, chapter 17, Jura visited a library and borrowed some books (instead of stealing them), hinting that he might see humans as something else. This might hint at a future alliance between shinobi and the Shinju, and it might have something to do with the Otsutsuki clan.

Years ago, since the birth of the Otsutsuki clan, these godly beings have been devouring planets using the Shinju (the Ten-tails). In some way, the Otsutsuki have been exploiting the powers of the Shinju, which might indicate that these sentient God Trees might have developed a grudge against the Otsutsuki clan.

Humans (shinobi) have a similar relationship with the Otsutsuki clan, as they have been fighting these godly beings for a while to protect their planet from destruction. So, with the same enemy, the future might see an unexpected alliance between the Shinju and shinobi to kill the Otsutsuki clan.

Final thoughts

Surprisingly, this move might also see the reemergence of Momoshiki and mark the first appearance of Shibai Otsutsuko on Earth. Although this theory has the potential to become true, it is recommended to take it with a grain of salt as it speculates future events.
