Naruto vs Sasuke is one of the most memorable fights from Naruto and even though Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has offered some amazingly choreographed fights, it might not be possible for anything to match the hype of the fight between Naruto and Sasuke. However, what if the sequel series could be teasing a rematch of their fight, but in a way no fan ever expected?

It is all centered around the idea that Naruto Uzumaki might not be sealed yet, and just like the protagonist, could be acting as a rogue ninja away from the Hidden Leaf Village. Moreover, given how the Shinju are currently expanding their territory by attacking neighboring villages, Hidari might cross paths with Naruto, which could be considered a rematch of the classic fight, as Hidari has Sasuke's chakra.

Exploring the rematch between Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

The final chapters of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations saw Kawaki going out of his way and trying to save Naruto from the danger of Momoshiki. So, he visited home and sealed Naruto and Hinata inside a separate time-space. Even though the Seventh Hokage wasn't in favor of this move, Kawaki had to do it so that he could kill the protagonist before Momoshiki took over.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex commenced with the return of the protagonist to the Hidden Leaf Village. Even though he had gotten significantly stronger, he couldn't save the person who made him strong, Sasuke Uchiha, as a Claw Grime absorbed the Uchiha clan member. This led to the birth of Hidari, who used Sasuke's chakra to live.

Even though both protagonists from Naruto had already been sealed, the village is carrying on with Shikamaru as a temporary Hokage. However, what if these two could return and their return would see their confrontation, leading to the rematch of the classic Naruto vs Sasuke fight?

Even though Naruto Uzumaki was sealed by Kawaki, there are chances that the sealed one might be a Shadow Clone, as the village has an enormous amount of these clones. This could mean that after witnessing such a spectacle, the Seventh Hokage might have gone into hiding, looking for a way to return without making anyone notice.

This would make sense considering how the Shinju were looking for him, as they thought Naruto was still the jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails. However, he might not stay hidden for a long time considering how the Shinju are currently raiding the neighboring village, just like how they raised the Hidden Sand Village in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13.

Once the Seventh Hokage comes into sight, Hidari might be the only Shinju who would confront Naruto. After Hidari was born, he declared Sarada as his target who he wanted to devour. As Sarada holds a deep affection for Naruto, this could play a part in Hidari fighting Naruto. As Hidari could be considered the parallel to Sasuke, since he uses the same chakra, Naruto vs Sasuke could return.

This theory has a lot of chances of becoming true if the Naruto that was sealed was a Shadow Clone. Even though the majority of times when the Seventh Hokage is home it is a clone, there is no telling what Mikio Ikemoto might be planning with the sealing of Naruto. So, take this theory just as a form of entertainment and wait for official confirmation from the source material.
