Boruto: Two Blue Vortex shows a version of Boruto that makes him a better son than Gohan
Boruto is slowly becoming the very character fans wanted Gohan to be. Gohan from the Dragon Ball Super series was poised to become Goku’s successor. The legendary Saiyan could not keep taking on stronger villains and protect his loved ones since he was getting older by the day. Therefore, it was quite natural for him to have a successor, but Gohan seems to have failed.
The reason why fans were upset with Gohan is due to his wasted potential. As per the series, Gohan had more potential than his father did. Instead, he became a scholar and didn’t particularly utilize 100 percent of his potential in the Dragon Ball Super series.
On the other hand, Boruto wasn’t the best son either. He was quite a disappointment, cheated in exams, and even disliked his own father. However, now that his father is in danger, he has stepped up. He also became incredibly powerful and managed to defeat Code in just one move. Furthermore, he also saved his younger sister in the nick of time, while helping out Sarada Uchiha on the battlefield.
Boruto has seemingly become what fans wanted Gohan to be in Dragon Ball Super as the former stepped up when the opportunity presented itself. While Boruto might not be utilizing his full potential, he certainly has shown a considerable amount of progress in a very short period.
