Boruto Two Blue Vortex has been building on the theme of characters deducing the discrepancies between their memories and feelings while under Eida's Omnipotence. Shikamaru was the first to acknowledge the inconsistencies between his emotions and actual memories and tried to help the protagonist with Ino's assistance.

Ino stopped aiding Shikamaru in Chapter 14 of the manga after witnessing Inojin's wounds and state following his impalement by Jura. While Ino has visible concerns about the situation, Inojin's father, ex-ANBU operative Sai, is nowhere to be found.

Given Sai's position as one of Naruto's closest associates and one of the most capable shinobi currently active in the story, it is possible that Sai will follow Shikamaru's lead and become one of the key figures to facilitate the protagonists' escape from Konoha.

Boruto Part 1 concluded with the protagonist becoming a wanted criminal, and the entire world being simultaneously subjected to Eida's Omnipotence. While the technique's exact specifications and principles remain unknown, its effects persist within the memories of the story's universe.

Omnipotence has essentially swapped the positions of the protagonist and Kawaki in the memories of all living beings, resulting in Kawaki gaining the status of Naruto's son. While this is currently treated as fact within the story, characters like Shikamaru and Amado have started to notice inconsistencies in their memories.

Amado has already realized that his memories may have been altered, and he may have deduced the entire ploy currently unfolding in the story, including Kawaki's true status and the protagonist's position.

Shikamaru, the current acting Hokage, has shown that he trusts his instincts, which has led him to place his trust in the protagonist. Ino, one of the main facilitators of communication between Shikamaru and the protagonist, halted her collaboration out of concern for Inojin's safety and the risk posed to the Yamanaka clan.

Inojin's father, Sai, a former Team 7 member and the current ANBU chief, was oddly absent during the protagonist's interrogation. Given Sai's position as the village's main intelligence-gathering officer, his absence from the briefing on the village's most wanted criminal may hint at his changing allegiance.

While Amado and Shikamaru operate on a different level of critical thinking and intelligence, Sai can be somewhat comparable due to his experience as an ANBU operative and his deep connection to Naruto. It is possible that Sai already has doubts about the entire situation.

Boruto is currently in Konoha village, with Mitsuki and Shikamaru trying to prevent him from being apprehended. Sai may also begin to understand the inconsistencies in his memory and join the protagonist as an ally, along with Ino, to help facilitate his escape from Konoha.

Final Thoughts

Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 15 will be released on October 20, 2024, revealing the protagonist's next course of action, along with the impact the new Shinju member will have on the overall story. The plot has consistently built up toward an eventual internal conflict within the Hidden Leaf Village's management. Many fans expect this may culminate in a Civil War arc within the Hidden Leaf Village.
