Bye Bye, Earth episode 1: Release date and time, where to watch, and more

Bye Bye, Earth episode 1 will be released on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:30 pm JST. Fans in Japan can watch the upcoming episode on the satellite television station WOWOW and later on BS Nippon TV. The anime will also be available for viewers across the world on Crunchyroll.

Based on the Japanese fantasy novel series written by Tow Ubukata and illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano, Bye Bye, Earth is being produced by WOWOW, Sony Pictures, and Crunchyroll. A manga adaptation of the series, illustrated by Ryu Asahi, was published in the seinen manga magazine Young King OURs by Shonen Gahosha.

What to expect from Bye Bye, Earth episode 1?

Bye Bye, Earth is an anime set in a world where animals possess human-like characteristics. However, humans themselves are missing until a human girl named Belle Lablac is born. However, she is shunned and grows up alone.

Belle grows up to be formidable and possesses the ability to wield the massive sword, Runding. But she yearns for acceptance and a sense of belonging. For this reason, she will embark on a journey to discover others who are like her.

Bye Bye, Earth is set to feature voice actors Fairouz Ai as Belle Lablac, Junichi Suwabe as Sian Lablac, Ami Koshimizu as Benedictine, Junya Enoki as Guinness, Kenjiro Tsuda as King Lowhide (Justice), Setsuji Satoh as King Lowhide (Evil), Kōki Uchiyama as Adonis Kuestion, Miyuki Sawashiro as Doranvi, Natsuki Hanae as Kitty the All, Saori Hayami as Shelly, and Satoshi Hino as Gaf Shandy. Viewers will be introduced to at least some of them in Bye Bye, Earth episode 1.

Bye Bye, Earth is animated by LIDEN FILMS and directed by Yasuto Nishikata. Sota Yokote serves as the assistant director, in addition to Kiyomi Yamada handling the editing.

Hiroyuki Yoshino is in charge of the series composition, while the music is composed by Kevin Penkin. The characters are designed by Yuki Hino, and the art direction is by Hotaka Okamoto. The sound direction is looked after by Soichiro Kubo, the photography is done by Yuki Murotsuka, the color design is by Aiko Shinohara, and the monsters in the series are designed by Ken Tsubuki and Yoshitomo Hara.

The opening theme, FACELESS is arranged and composed by Kohei Tsunami, with the lyrics penned by ASCA, who also performed the song. As for the ending theme, I LUV U 2, it was composed by LMYK and Tōru Horikoshi and arranged by Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Toru Horikoshi. LMYK also wrote the lyrics and performed the song.
