Chainsaw Man chapter 130 is set to release on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 12 am JST after a long two weeks since the previous issue. Fans are thus excited for the upcoming installment, showing no dismay for mangaka Tatsuki Fujimoto’s one-week break.

However, what fans are eagerly discussing is being unable to know what’s set to come in Chainsaw Man Chapter 130. With the series being a digitally published Shonen Jump+ series, verifiable spoilers and raw scans rarely leak for the series.

Nonetheless, fans are still desperate to learn whatever they can about the next chapter before its release. While there are no verifiable spoilers available, there are a few more-than-likely plot points and events fans can count on being in Chainsaw Man chapter 130.

Chainsaw Man chapter 130 likely to be character-driven issue focused on Asa and Denji’s new partnership

Chainsaw Man chapter 130 may begin with a continued focus on Asa and Denji. A sudden shift in perspective back to the Fakesaw Man versus the Falling Devil is atypical of Fujimoto’s writing style. While still possible, it’ll only be done if something important is revealed, such as the duo actually working together.

If such a revelation is revealed, fans can expect the release to evenly split time between Denji and Asa and the newly revealed co-conspirators. Some additional lore info will likely be revealed here as well, including focus on Nostradamus’ prophecy, the Four Horsemen Devils, or the suspected Gluttony Devil who was seen in several previous chapters.

In this scenario, Chainsaw Man chapter 130 will likely end by teasing, if not fully setting up, a two-on-two fight between both pairs. Matchups would most likely be Asa versus the Falling Devil and Denji versus the Fakesaw Man, but these could be reversed while still making sense in the narrative.

Should the issue focus solely be on Denji and Asa, the chapter will focus on the two’s attempt to escape the Devils chasing them, as per Fakesaw Man’s instructions. With the bike they’re now riding being a massive weapon, thanks to Asa’s weaponization skills, the chapter will see them use the bike to fight off enemies rather than actually do it themselves.

This also opens the door to Chainsaw Man chapter 130 being a character-driven issue, focusing on this new partnership and its potential future. Likewise, fans can expect to see War Devil Yoru communicating with Asa in the midst of this, likely to berate her for this perceived betrayal. This may also lead to some funny misunderstandings where Denji believes Asa to be talking to him.

Beyond this, Chainsaw Man chapter 130 is unlikely to do anything particularly transcendent or earth-shattering. With the climax of the Falling Devil arc just over the horizon, Fujimoto will coast up to this point while working in whatever lore and character development he can. Hopefully, the aforementioned looming climax is able to properly pay out on what could potentially end up being part 2’s longest arc thus far.
