Following War Devil Yoru’s unexpected sacrifice of her children in chapter 176, fans are more eager than ever to see what Chainsaw Man chapter 177 has in store. More specifically, fans are excited to see what will almost certainly be the next, brutal stage in Yoru’s fight with Pochita to reclaim nuclear weapons from his stomach.

Unfortunately, fans have no way of knowing that for sure as of this article’s writing, with Chainsaw Man chapter 177 officially releasing next Wednesday, September 4, 2024, in Japan. Chainsaw Man chapter 177 will likely open up with a brief conversation between Asa Mitaka and War Devil Yoru. The former will likely critique the latter for not sacrificing Tank and Gun earlier while she still had one of her original arms left.

This should lead to confirmation as to whether or not Asa’s arms will regenerate thanks to being replaced by the weaponized Tank and Gun Devils, or if the weapons are simply her arms until they break.

Yoru will likely end the conversation quickly and curtly as Pochita recovers from the attack she just landed on him. It’s unlikely that he’ll regenerate his lost arms immediately, instead attacking Yoru with the chainsaw on his head, his remaining arms, and possibly chainsaws that will grow from his legs.

Pochita may even have other Devils leak out of his stomach as they fight, undoing the erasures of the Octopus, Snow, and Bitterness Devils as a result.

Chainsaw Man chapter 177 should then see Yoru grow feverish as a result of this, wanting to free the Nuclear Weapons Devil as soon as possible. She may even get severely injured as a result, rushing in head first, as a result of forgetting how dangerous even a maimed Pochita can be.

It wouldn’t be unsurprising to see this mistake immediately cost her one of the two weapons she just sacrificed Tank and Gun to create.

Chapter 177 should then shift focus to Famine Devil Fami, likely showing her watching the fight from a nearby rooftop. Asa may even notice Fami as Yoru continues to fight Pochita, questioning her true motives here as Fami reveals a slight smile on her face.

Focus will likely then shift back to Fumiko Mifune, who will be finalizing the deal with the Aging Devil, thanks to the return of the Mouth Devil and mouths as a result.

Fans will likely see some higher-ups in Public Safety approve the order, expressing their gratitude that Mifune was able to convince the Japanese government. Whoever these higher-ups are, will likely then order all of Public Safety’s efforts to be focused on bringing Pochita in. However, as this is said, the issue will likely end on a panel seeing Pochita all but killed by Yoru.
