In turn, this should also cement whether or not Denji was and generally is aware of what happens when Pochita’s Hero of Hell form takes over his body.

If this doesn’t answer that question, the likely subsequent transition into Denji waking up in this strange new world should. The most likely option is via dialogue with Asa Mitaka, who should be in the area watching after him given their current situation. Upon awakening, he should get the lowdown on what happened from her, which should include his transformation and subsequent events.
