Chainsaw Man chapter 182 recap
Chainsaw Man chapter 182 begins with Yoru ending her kiss with Denji and saying they need to look for a way out instead of crying. However, she kissed him again immediately after, prompting him to push her off. When asked why, she said it was because he’s cute when he cries. Denji then discussed how hopeless he feels and how his life seems to alternate between incredible extremes.
This prompted Yoru to begin opening up to Denji about herself, but she didn’t stick the landing, prompting Asa to take control of their shared body and punch her. Asa then took over and began discussing how her mother died because she tripped while trying to save a cat. Denji asked how she got over it, to which she said she could never do so. However, she revealed he taught her that she still had something to live for and look forward to.
While Denji clearly appreciated this, he suddenly threw up a severed Devil head, which was revealed to be the Snow Devil. This was revealed by the next page seeing the Aging Devil’s world covered in snow completely, the lake even partially frozen. Each of them was awestruck at the fact that the snow, while a flashback began. The issue ended with the reveal that this is Denji’s flashback, with the final panel being a shot of Power and Aki Hayakawa.
What to expect from Chainsaw Man chapter 183 (speculative)?
With the incredibly exciting reveal of a Power- and Aki-centric flashback for Denji in Chainsaw Man chapter 182, it’ll likely play some meaningful role in healing Denji’s current emotional state. Likewise, the issue should focus on the Aki and Power flashback almost exclusively. Given how big of a fan favorite each of these two characters is, it’s unlikely Fujimoto would bring them back into the fold for only a short period of time.
However, the chapter is likely to at least end by returning to the Aging Devil’s world, where Denji will likely be crying but happily doing so. The issue will likely end with him telling Asa that she’s right, or rather he’s right, and that everyone has something worth living for. The two will likely announce their intent to escape in the final panel.
