Chainsaw Man chapter 183 began immediately where the last issue ended. However, as Denji wondered why he was remembering his Hokkaido trip with Aki and Power, he threw up the Bitterness Devil’s head. This prompted him to run to the lake for water to get the bitter taste out of his mouth, but he fell into the lake instead. He then remembered Reze and Nayuta commenting on how all the people he loves disappears from his life eventually.

Denji then saw Pochita swimming towards him as he questioned how he had been able to smile before. This prompted Denji to realize Pochita ate those Devils to make him remember all the happy times in his life, not forget the bad ones. Asa then pulled Denji out of the water, prompting him to say both she and Pochita were right. He then reaffirmed that he has a reason to live as long as there are “grub and girls” in the world.

Denji then asserted that Devil powers not working here is a lie, since the Bitterness Devil’s very large head wouldn’t have fit inside Denji’s human stomach. He guessed that Chainsaw Man’s (i.e., Pochita’s) stomach was somewhere in the real world. This was seemingly confirmed by a panel of the Hero of Hell’s battered corpse lying lifelessly on the ground. The issue ended with Denji saying he had a plan that would definitely get them out of the Aging Devil’s world.

Chainsaw Man chapter 184 will most likely open up with a focus on the Aging Devil in the outside world. This should give further context to Denji and Asa’s physical statuses in reality, while also offering an update on Aging’s deal with Public Safety. Focus should then shift back to Denji and Asa in Aging’s world, where the former will likely elaborate on his plan.

More likely than not, it will involve either eating Asa or forcing Denji to keep throwing up Devils until one is powerful enough to break them out of Aging’s world. However, the latter seems more likely, since it could lead to the Nuclear Weapons Devil being thrown up. This would both move the immediate plot forward and create tension for the near future via Yoru finally achieving her initial goal.
