Chainsaw Man chapter 184 began with Asa and Denji having returned to the area where the Devil Hunter who’d been trapped for 82 years was. He was still hanging onto a tree and screaming like a cicada. Denji was running laps around the lake, while Asa and Yoru questioned what his plan could be. They concluded that he lost his grip on reality, while Denji was approached by the Aging Devil as he ran.

Aging offered to get Denji out of the world if he was able to convince Pochita to eat Aging in reality. However, once he learned that he’d be sacrificing innocent children to do so, Denji rejected the offer and asserted that Pochita didn’t want to sacrifice the children either. Aging then tried to antagonize Denji by asserting that since he already bounced back from Nayuta’s death, he must not have loved her very much.

However, Denji countered that this wasn’t the case, and he instead realized that he’d find new people to call his family at some point, somewhere. He even added that if they died too, then he’d find another new family, which left the Aging Devil speechless at how stupid he found Denji to be. Aging added that Denji couldn’t run his way out of there, prompting him to stop. The issue ended with a closeup of Denji’s stomach as he said his plan was already in motion.
