Chainsaw Man chapter 186 recap
Chainsaw Man chapter 186 began with Pochita heading toward the Aging Devil, who made a contract with the Public Safety agents present, which included Fumiko Mifune. Aging demanded control of their bodies in exchange for saving them from death at Pochita’s hands. They agreed, prompting him to first sacrifice their nails in order to launch an invisible attack on Pochita that sliced his body into three large chunks.
Aging said this was the only choice since he’d need to force-feed himself to Pochita in order to be eaten. Fumiko and the other agents then begged Aging to use them with impunity, citing the need to stop the Chainsaw Man zombies and Nosferatu’s prophecy by evolving mankind via Pochita’s powers. Fumiko even volunteered them for sacrifice, which impressed Aging. However, Denji ate more intestines as this happened, healing Pochita’s damage.
Aging then sacrificed Mifune’s liver to attack again, launching a similar attack on Pochita, which Denji healed up immediately. This happened once more with Aging sacrificing another agent’s eyes, but Denji didn’t heal Pochita this time. Instead, Pochita cut open his own chest to remove his heart, throwing the miniature version of himself at the Aging Devil’s location. The issue ended with Pochita’s heart approaching this location, setting up their fight for the next release.
What to expect from Chainsaw Man chapter 187 (speculative)
With chapter 186 all but setting up the next stage of Pochita versus the Aging Devil, Chainsaw Man chapter 187 should see this next leg of their fight begin. It will likely open up with a focus on Fumiko Mifune and the other Public Safety agents, whom Aging may send to his world in an effort to keep them safe from Pochita.
The issue should then focus on Pochita and the Aging Devil as they confront each other, with Aging likely to have the upper hand in the early stages of their fight. However, Pochita should eventually gain the advantage, especially after learning how Aging attacks and what the best way to counter it is.
