Chainsaw Man has several mysteries in the second part of the manga and one of them is the host of the Famine Devil, also known as Fami. The mystery could reveal the character's motivations and how she has influenced several plot points, with fans considering the theory that Fumiko Mifune is the host.
Anime and manga fans are notorious for picking up clues and hints and the Chainsaw Man community is no different. That is why many claim that author Tatsuki Fujimoto has given several signs that Fumiko is hosting the Famine Devil. This is because of the inconsistency in her behavior, her pattern of speech, and the similarities this holds with another Devil host, Asa Mitaka.

Explaining why Fumiko could be Fami's host in Chainsaw Man
One of the most notorious evidence of Fumiko being the host of the Famine Devil is her inconsistency. She initially cared for Denji and Nayuta's well-being and even suggested they not go to their apartment, which was sound advice. She showed disgust at Nayuta's claim of having no problem taking the lives of humans, which proved that she had a degree of empathy for others. She also defended Denji and said that he wasn't like the other Chainsaw Devils.
However, the moment Denji was captured by Public Safety, her behavior changed. She showed no compassion or care for the protagonist to the point of wanting to clip hair from his body as a memento. She never tricked or hurt Denji but simply stopped caring, which was the same thing with the sacrifice of children. This suggested that Fami ordered her to follow suit and Fumiko just went along with it.
This can be a sign of resignation and also could be author Tatsuki Fujimoto's way of playing with the audience since that inconsistency also fits Asa Mitaka. While readers can see Yoru talking with Asa, only the latter appears in front of other characters, thus making her behavior erratic and borderline schizophrenic.
More details about this theory
Some Chainsaw Man fans who perhaps don't believe this theory could argue that Fumiko doesn't have the Horseman Devil eyes that the likes of Yoru, Fami, Nayuta, and Makima have as evidence of her not being a host. While that is true, there is no evidence that Fami operates the exact same way as Yoru with her host. This could probably involve changes in the hairstyle to keep up appearances.
Others have pointed out how Nayuta could identify Fumiko as the host of the Famine Devil because of their family bond and the former called the latter "Diarrhea Woman," which fits with Fami's motif for eating a lot. It is also worth pointing out that Nayuta has only interacted with Asa when Yoru was controlling her body, which means that she perhaps can't notice the host when they are in their normal state.
Fumiko and Fami are also yet to be seen in the same room and the former has referred to humans "attacking them" when talking with Nayuta and Denji as if she wasn't one. Moreover, for being a normal Public Safety agent, she has had a very prominent role in the story, and her contract with a Devil is yet to be shown in the Chainsaw Man manga.
Final thoughts
It seems that Fujimoto is setting the stage in the Chainsaw Man manga for a major twist and that could be the connection between Fumiko and Fami. While this could require explaining some things, such as the change in hairstyle and color, there are some hints that this could be the direction the author is going for.
