Each Chainsaw Man chapter brings something new to the table and the latest one is no exception. In a nutshell, Pochita reminded Denji that he still had things to live for and renewed his self-belief. As things stand, Denji claimed that he had a way to escape the Aging Devil's world, setting the stage for the coming chapters.
Pochita revived Denji so by making the latter throw up the Snow and Bitterness Devils which triggered flashbacks. In these flashbacks, we see Aki Hayakawa, Power (on the trio's Hokkaido Trip), and Reze (from Denji's coffee date with her).
Intriguingly, one individual in particular was missing - Makima. Given how obsessed Denji was within the initial arcs of the manga, one would expect to see her. But it seems like she did not occupy that much of an important place in his life after all.

Chainsaw Man Part II proves Makima's true value in Denji's life via chapter 183
To begin with, Denji and Makima met early on when the former first transformed into Chainsaw Man and fought the Zombie Devil. She appeared in the aftermath of the incident and hugged him, changing him back into Denji. This was where everything began. It was highly significant for Denji as it marked the point where he started to fall for the orange-haired girl.
After that, she showed him kindness and made him a part of Public Safety, pairing him up with Aki and Power. However, the main reason for Makima going out of her way to help Denji was her interest in Pochita. She wanted Pochita for his power and wanted to control him so she could use his abilities and reshape the world as she saw fit. As Denji explained to Kishibe, Makima never truly saw him, only Pochita.
Nearly the whole of Chainsaw Man Part I was a complete manipulation by Makima. She created situations to break Denji and used her physical appeal to have him do her bidding. It was all a very well-structured ploy with a specific end goal, one that thankfully was never achieved. While Makima succeeded in deluding Denji, she was not the object of his true desire.
What this means is that whatever Denji felt for Makima can be attributed to firstly, her Control Devil abilities and secondly, superficial in a sense. Denji graduated from wanting to touch Makima to wanting to be connected and physically intimate with her. But even so, these did not seem like his true feelings, as his end goal has always been the desire for a normal.
Chainsaw Man chapter 183 ties in here by not featuring Makima in any of his flashbacks. She would have definitely been glimpsed if he truly felt for her, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Reze was someone he truly felt and fell for, as she did for him. Moreover, their interactions were such that the tension between them was palpable. Similarly, Aki and Power were his family and special to him.
Another reason why Makima didn't appear in his flashbacks could be Pochita. The latter only threw up the Devils that were linked with specific memories, like the Hokkaido Trip (snow) and (bitter) coffee with Reze. In other words, he did not want to remind Denji of that trauma and hence elected to not expel something that would bring back memories of her.
In conclusion
To conclude, Chainsaw Man chapter 183 showed Denji's true feelings towards Makima. Her not making an appearance in his flashbacks likely signals that she did not hold all that much of an important role in his life, in comparison to Reze, Aki, and Power.
Creator Tatsuki Fujimoto cleverly drawing the parallels using the regurgitated Devil heads was a masterstroke. Moreover, Denji's entire relationship with Makima had a traumatic undertone to it. Anything she had him involved in did not end well. After all, Denji was never her focus and it ultimately became evident, which is likely why he too never had true feelings for her.
