Chainsaw Man's mysterious and much-awaited "Great King of Terror" has truly intrigued viewers. Countless theories seem to be surfacing in anticipation of what creator Tatsuki Fujimoto has in store for us in Part II of his series.
One popular theory surrounded Fumiko Mifune, the supporting antagonist of the Academy Saga. Debuting in chapter 136, she was tasked with "protecting" Denji from all those who knew his true identity as Chainsaw Man. The theory surrounding her speculates that she is actually the Death Devil, i.e., the great terror is already here.
However, a more recent view surfacing from within the community says otherwise. If it is true, then the Fumiko Mifune Death Devil theories might have already been debunked. Here's what it says.

Chainsaw Man: Fumiko Mifune Death Devil theories might be quashed already
The latest Chainsaw Man theory seems to be causing ripples in the fandom, given its plausibility. Delving straight in, the theory refers to the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, i.e., the Control/Conquest Devil, War Devil, Famine Devil, and Death Devil in Makima, Yoru and Fami (Death Devil yet to be revealed).
As such, the theory links the colors of the Horsemen's horses as predictors of the next Horseman. In essence, War rides a Red Horse (signalling war) and hence Makima's hair is reddish-orange. Next, Famine rides a Black Horse (signalling hunger) and Yoru/Asa's hair is black. Finally, Death rides a Pale Horse (signalling death) and Fami's hair is a grayish Mountbatten pink.
So, according to this logic, when the cycle repeats, Control/Conquest rides a White Horse (signalling control) and thus, the Death Devil will have white hair (in human form). Presently, it can be assumed, judging by Fujimoto's choice, that the Death Devil might also likely be female, as all the other Horsemen are.
Other Death Devil speculations
So far, Fujimoto has displayed a stellar sense of storytelling. Not much is predictable until it happens. Similarly, in this case, although a pattern has been deciphered, it is tough to say what is on the author's mind. The Death Devil could show themselves as an entirely new addition to the story or might already be existing, waiting for the right moment.
Anyhow, other theories are furthering the Death Devil's case, and they are also quite plausible. For instance, Fumiko is the Death Devil herself. The reason this could be true is that the Death Devil, as the name suggests, is all about Death and Chainsaw Man or Pochita possesses the devil-erasing ability, i.e., an actual death for Devil-kind. This would explain her behaviour towards Denji and possibly unleashing Apocalypse upon being rejected.
Again, another popular theory is that Hirofumi Yoshida is the Death Devil. True or not, there are a few indicators. Firstly, Yoshida seemingly signs 'Shinu' (To die) in chapter 103; secondly, the Death Devil (in human form) might not be in its most powerful state, like its comrades; thirdly, it could be using different Devil contracts to disguise itself and lastly, the Death Devil has to deal with Pochita before its great plan hence the attempt to befriend and get close to Denji.
In Conclusion
The above-mentioned theory does make a ton of sense when it comes to speculating about the Death Devil. This visible yet hidden pattern, if true, could have already quashed the countless theories surrounding the Death Devil and its identity on Earth, if it had already arrived.
Nonetheless, this is purely speculation, and given Fujimoto's approach to the story, no one can exactly foresee what might happen next. The latest chapter drops in a few days and might provide some insight into his much-anticipated character, before that, it will feature an upgraded Yoru taking on the fearsome Aging Devil.
