With Chainsaw Man inching closer toward the story arc featuring the Death Devil, the manga has introduced fans to several new characters. Upon analyzing the characters, one fan came up with the theory that manga creator Tatsuki Fujimoto may have based his most powerful characters on the types of love conceptualized by John Alan Lee.
While it is true that the four Horsemen of Apocalypse in the manga are based on the figures depicted in the Book of Revelation in the New Testament of the Bible, their characteristics may have been based on love all along. The only two characters that join them as part of this classification are Denji and Pochita.

Chainsaw Man's Denji, Pochita, and the Horsemen of Apocalypse may be inspired by love
As theorized by Chainsaw Man fan on Reddit u/Ok-Transition4879, the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, Denji, and Pochita may have been inspired by types of love, a concept created by John Alan Lee. According to him, there are six types of love, each represented by a color. The six types are Eros (Red), Storge (Yellow), Agape (Orange), Ludus (Blue), Mania (Purple), and Pragma (Green).
Makima, the Control Devil represents Eros. Eros seemingly means Passionate Love. As manga readers would know, Makima could control those she considered to be below her. That wasn't the case for the Chainsaw Devil as she was his fan. Essentially, Makima wanted to find someone on equal footing to herself, which is why after capturing Pochita, she was shown expressing that she wanted to be with the Chainsaw Devil forever. This is also made evident by Makima's hair, which is red like the color that represents Eros.
The next love type is Storge, a type of love that represents friendship love. As fans must have noticed, while Denji was shown to go after his lustful desires, innately, all he wanted was a peaceful family that cared for each other. This is exactly why he cared for Power and Aki as his family and wanted to live with them forever. Unsurprisingly, his hair color also matched his love-type color, yellow.
The next love type is Agape, a type of love that is all-giving. As fans must have noticed, Pochita was a selfless devil, who formed an unfavorable contract with Denji to help him stay alive. The manga also depicts on several occasions how Pochita was rooting for Denji, not because he wanted something from him, but because he cared about him. As expected the color representing Agape, Orange, also matches Pochita.
The next love type is Ludus, represented by Blue. The Ludus love type means game-playing love. As fans must have noticed, Yoru, the War Devil had one goal, to defeat Chainsaw Devil. While she had motives behind this, as the story progressed, this goal slowly changed. It turned into something similar to a competitive desire to get one up on the Chainsaw Devil, rather than her desire to regain her old weapons. As for Yoru's hair, given its dark shade, it is difficult to classify as black or blue.
The next love type is Mania, represented by purple color. Evidently, Fami, the Famine Devil has purple colored hair. As for the love type, it represents possessive and dependent love. As seen in the manga, Fami was preparing for the Death Devil's arrival. However, she was certain that she would not be able to take down her sister alone, which is why she was dependent on her sisters, Nayuta and Yoru to help her out.
The last love type is Pragma, represented by the Green color. Pragma is a logical love type. While no character has been introduced representing this love type, there is reason to believe that the manga will use it for the Death Devil. This is because the very phenomenon of death can be pragmatic to some extent. Every person that is born, is bound to die someday. Hence, there is a chance that the Chainsaw Man manga could soon introduce the Death Devil with green hair color.
