The protagonists of Chainsaw Man face a mammoth task ahead of them; the looming threat of the Death Devil, the one who embodies humanity's innate fear of death and is the final Horseman. Denji and Asa Mitaka/Yoru are likely the only ones capable of combating this terror, but the current situation doesn't seem very promising. Also, the Death Devil's power source makes it further terrifying.
However, in this case, the coming of the "Great King of Terror" - a prophecy about humanity’s extinction - might just be the answer. Humans not existing anymore could be the key to solving this entire conundrum. A recently surfaced Chainsaw Man theory speculates precisely this idea, and given the countless theories formulated so far, this one might be among the most plausible ones.

Chainsaw Man: The coming of the "Age of Devils" could be the world's saving grace
A recent buzz in the Chainsaw Man community comes from an intriguing theory, formulated by one of its members. There has been endless chatter on what might or might not happen regarding the coming of the "Age of Devils," which has been complicated further by recent developments, i.e., the Aging Devil's introduction into Pochita vs Yoru.
However, this recently surfaced theory speaks of a tragic but probably necessary occurrence for stopping the Death Devil. To begin with, this particular Horseman embodies and is powered by humanity's innate fear of death, which is likely one of the strongest power sources for a Devil. By this logic, it will be on a totally different level when the power is scaled against Pochita or Yoru.
Moreover, with the protagonists trapped in Aging's world, they are restricted from reacting until they manage to escape. Hence, the Death Devil's arrival will draw near and will eventually happen. Assuming that the protagonist duo manages to escape Aging's world, stronger and more in sync, they will wake up to this terrifying occurrence.
But this is where the theory takes a turn. They will fail to beat the Death Devil, as they will be relying on humanity's fear of war or chainsaws, which stem from the fear of death. Thus, as Pochita and Yoru get stronger, so will the Death Devil. This will prevent them from winning, and humanity will end. However, this will be where Pochita and Yoru take on round 2 of the battle.
With humanity gone, the fear of death will also be gone. In this regard, the Death Devil will be less powerful, since there is no one to fear death. But Devils will still exist and there is one name which even Devils fear - Chainsaw Man. Granted that his defeat will make other Devils bolder, but even so, he is still Chainsaw Man. If he returns and manages to regain his reputation, he will definitely grow stronger.
Thus, with his powers coming back, he could become more powerful than the Death Devil and have a bout once again. But this time, Pochita will most probably win, as his strength will have been enough to overcome the "Great King of Terror," not to mention he has the support of two of its sisters, Fami and Yoru.
Final thoughts
Yet another intriguing Chainsaw Man theory takes its place among the many existing speculations. While this one seems plausible, it does have a couple of loopholes. For instance, once Pochita defeats the Death Devil, how would humanity return? Furthermore, what will happen to the Devils that would be running around because humanity does not exist anymore?
These questions have not particularly been addressed since this theory focuses more on the actual battle. However, for the time being, the main concern is dealing with the Aging Devil's bizarre world. For the protagonist duo to face the Death Devil, they first need to escape their current situation and build an understanding between themselves to be able to stand a chance.
