In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the Karma that Code possesses has been shown to be unique and separate from the others seen in the series. This raises interesting concerns regarding its true origin and purpose. Karma is supposed to grant the holders immense abilities linked to the Otsutsuki, like Chakra Absorption.
But Code’s Karma imparts nothing of the sort. Even its appearance is different— white instead of black. As Amado claimed, Code was a failed vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki and in return obtained great power. However, it shows none of Isshiki’s abilities, and is also affected by Omnipotence power.
A recent theory surfacing in Boruto looks closer into Code's Karma and speculates an interesting point about its truth. Code’s Karma could be part of Amado’s ulterior agenda and this is what we will delve into.
Disclaimer: This article is speculative in nature.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex: Code's Karma could be more than what meets the eye

The theory speculates that Code's Karma is just another part of Amado's plan to revive his daughter, Akebi. It theorizes the following in an intriguing manner: Amado views Code's role as only to threaten Kawaki. In fact, Code was the catalyst that caused Kawaki to re-activate his Karma. As seen in Boruto, Kawaki is crucial to Amado’s plan of reviving Akebi.
Hence, to give Kawaki that necessary push, Amado likely planted the artificial Karma on Code and wove the fake story of the failed Isshiki implantation. Then, following Isshiki's defeat, Code’s Karma seemed to cause "Isshiki's spirit" to appear before Code, twisting him and his motivations further. Also, Eida being able to observe this encounter hints at its inauthenticity.
This is because she could see Code and Isshiki, but not Boruto and Momoshiki. As such, it might be suggested that Isshiki appearing to Code was an illusion Amado cleverly created and timed. Finally, the theory ends by saying that Code’s Karma could be a scientific ninja tool, with Code being a piece of Amado's puzzle.
Supporting that statement is the undeniable fact that Amado's stint with Kara gave him comprehensive knowledge about Karma. His tireless experimentation allowed him to implant one onto Kawaki. So, when he realized Kawaki's importance in reviving Akebi, he did whatever was necessary to make it happen.
Code's Karma

Code’s Karma is white, not black. As Amado stated, Code was a failed vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki, survived the procedure, and gained powers that exceeded even Jigen's. But Code's Karma showcases none of the characteristics shown by Boruto or Kawaki's Karma.
Using his Karma, Code is unable to absorb chakra and lacks the usual abilities tied to Isshiki Otsutsuki’s Karma, like Sukunahikona or Daikokuten. In fact, mere white color emphasizes its artificial nature. Unlike the Uzumaki boys, Code’s Karma doesn't Otsutsuki-fy him, hence he isn't an Otsutsuki and susceptible to Omnipotence. Further, for him, Shinjutsu is out of reach.
There could be one plausible reason pointing at the reason Code’s Karma is unlike the others in the series— it was not inherited from a true Otsutsuki. It was placed upon him by Amado, who claimed it to be a failed procedure. He pulled the cloth over Code's eyes by telling him that he lacked Isshiki's powers due to it being an unsuccessful implantation.
In conclusion

Putting the aforementioned facts together, this new theory about Code's Karma does seem plausible. After all, Amado has always looked like a character with something deeper on his mind. Moreover, given his calculating nature, it wouldn't be a surprise if all of this was a plan shrewdly woven by him.
So far, not a lot has been divulged about Code's Karma, which is why this theory is so interesting. But it is clear that Amado possesses true knowledge about it and is definitely hiding something. A father going to great lengths for his daughter is not an unconventional narrative and could very well be the driving force behind this merry dance.
