Code is one of the major antagonists of Boruto who was introduced after the demise of Isshiki Otsutsuki. Despite his not having true Karma, he is one of the strongest antagonists introduced yet, mostly because of his Claw Mark ability.

But despite being one of the strongest villains, he has yet to make a considerable impact in the sequel series, Two Blue Vortex. He reappeared after the Omnipotence incident and was overpowered by the protagonist, which led to fans doubting his potential.

But a Digimon influence could indicate otherwise as just like Code, there exists a character in this series who is evil and reaches its much-awaited 'true potential' later in the series.

This could indicate that Code would awaken his Otsutsuki form, which would be granted to him by Isshiki Otsutsuki.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Exploring Code's Future potential

Code is one of the series' true antagonists who was introduced after Isshiki died at the hands of Baryon-mode Naruto. Unfortunately, he didn't possess the true Karma, White Karma, due to which he was close to being discarded, but he came in hand right before Isshiki died.

Although he possesses a good physical build and a modified body that can turn any part of him into a weapon, Code's main abilities lie around his Claw Mark. This ability is similar to the Fourth Hokage's Flying Raijin Jutsu technique. This technique involves Code leaving his black-band marks and then teleporting to them of his free will.

This mark even works in other dimensions, thus giving him a range like no other antagonist in the series. Despite all this, Code's reputation in the series isn't one of the most respectable ones, especially in the sequel series, Boruto Two Blue Vortex.

Two Blue Vortex started with Code attacking the Hidden Leaf Village in search of the protagonist who left the village after the Omnipotence incident. He crossed paths with Sarada who was adamant that the protagonist wasn't around. Code decided to assault Sarada hoping that the protagonist would arrive to protect her.

Boruto did arrive and impaled Code. The fight progressed and the protagonist utterly defeated him with his hand-to-hand combat and ninjutsu techniques like the Rasengan Uzuhiko.

Not only this, after Code escaped the village, the protagonist tailed Code without him noticing and discovering where the Ten Tails was being kept.

After this incident, fans started to doubt Code's potential as the main villain of Two Blue Vortex due to his weak display in the fight against the protagonist. But there could be more to his character as a villain and a similar influence from another anime makes it clear.

Impmom is a villain from the Digimon series who hates humans. Despite his having such hatred, Impmom was a weak Digimon until he transformed into a Mega form, Beelzemon.

Impmom transformed into this Mega form by Caturamon after he killed several tamers and their Digimon monsters. In the Beelzemon form, Impmom was a beast that could rival the strongest Digimon monsters.

Similar to Impmom, Code also completes some conditions for the awakening of his true powers, like Beelzemon. Although nothing can be specified about his true potential, it could be related to his Otsutsukification or something even greater. With his true potential awakened in the future, Code could finally rival the protagonist or someone even stronger.
