Daemon's lack of redesign in Boruto Two Blue Vortex may hint at a Hunter x Hunter inspired power-up

Boruto Two Blue Vortex has received a lot of praise from its fandom for a wide variety of reasons, and one of them has been the new character designs, especially when it comes to the sense of aesthetics, making every cast member unique. In that regard, there might be a reason that Daemon's lack of redesign could be connected to something that happened in Hunter X Hunter.

Daemon has been seen in Boruto Two Blue Vortex and there is a chance that Eida's little brother could be gearing up for a power-up that could alter his design. This theory on X suggests that this increase in power could lead to a change in design that is similar to Gon Freecss's form in Yoshihiro Togashi's series.

Daemon could change with a power-up in Boruto Two Blue Vortex like Gon did in Hunter X Hunter

This theory on X suggests that the main reason Daemon doesn't have a new design in Boruto Two Blue Vortex is because he is going to get a power-up that alters his look. This transformation could be similar to the one Gon Freecss, the protagonist of Hunter X Hunter, had during the events of the Chimera Ant arc, specifically in his fight against Pitou.

It was during this fight that Gon, out of anger toward Pitou for killing his friend Kite, chose to give away all the power he was ever going to have to reach a new plateau of strength for a few minutes. Thanks to that transformation, he went from being a young boy into a muscular adult, making quick work of Pitou while losing all of his power and abilities in the process.

Considering that Boruto Two Blue Vortex author Masashi Kishimoto, a notorious fan of Yoshihiro Togashi's work in both Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter, has given most of the cast a power-up and redesign in the time skip, this does make a lot of sense. In that regard, the idea of Daemon getting a transformation seems feasible at the moment.

The role of Eida and Daemon

There is no denying that Eida has had a much more prominent role in Boruto Two Blue Vortex than his younger brother and that is quite notorious in terms of plot relevance. It was Eida who turned Boruto into an outlaw because of her Omnipotence ability and has been siding with Kawaki's plans, although the last part could change in the near future.

However, it will be interesting to see how Daemon becomes an active player in the story moving forward. He was upgraded by Amado to defeat Jigen and the character seems to have been ignored in Boruto Two Blue Vortex, although that is bound to change in the foreseeable future.

Final thoughts

Daemon could be getting a redesign in Boruto Two Blue Vortex in the shape of a transformation similar Gon's adult form in Hunter X Hunter. However, it needs to be taken into account that is mere fan speculation and there is nothing that suggests that to be the case at the moment.
