A brief recap of Dandadan chapter 148

Chapter 148 kicked off from where it left off in the previous installment, resuming from where Okarun reunited with Momo.

Both Zuma and Momo were confused as to why they were still inside the game after destroying the crystal. Eventually Turbo Granny explained that they were inside a cursed wicker trunk, in which an evil Yokai was trapped, and the box was acting as a seal.

Granny was startled after she learned that Zuma and Momo had destroyed all the seals that were acting as guardian deities that kept the Yokai locked inside the realm. They eventually realized that it was the Yokai who transformed the world into a game so that it could use human help to break itself out of the constraints.

After the Yokai showed itself, Granny recognized that it was Fairy-Tale Card, an entity that could take over anything that looked at him. Subsequently, Granny asked everyone to avert their eyes to avoid being controlled by the Yokai. The Fairy-Tale Card told everyone how he had been luring humans as his ticket to freedom.

As most of the delinquents have traversed through rough paths, feeling unrecognized by the real world, the Yokai tried to convince them to stay. Suddenly, Zuma’s right-hand man became the Yokai’s puppet after he looked at him. The Yokai used his body to attack Zuma, and eventually, he took over his body as well.
