This causes her to run and look outside for potential accomplices, sensing the aura of someone she believes to have been controlling the jiangshi.

The businessman then reveals three kozuka knives, two with black handles and one with white. Seiko explains that they’re made from the blade Asura, which forced its user to kill until their own death and could even steal yokai powers, allowing it to kill even master swordsmen. She reveals it was stolen from its seal five years ago. They ask the businessman why he went along with the Orchestrator’s orders to steal powers, who explains that he could get a wish.

His wife, who saved him from a life of loneliness, only has one year left to live. Accepting this, they ask how he got in contact with the Orchestrator. However, this is a dead end as the focus shifts to Count Saint-Germain. As Sanjome, he’s invited out to a singles night, which he accepts. The issue ends with Seiko, Payase, and Kashimoto making a quick getaway from police officer Masamichi Bega as he inspects the scene of their skirmish.
