Dandadan Chapter 181 is set to release on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 12AM JST according to the official MANGA Plus website. With a new enemy for Okarun introduced as Seiko’s attackers are fully identified, the series seems set for an action-packed string of issues in the near future.

However, each of these platforms offer only the first and latest three chapters in the series for reading. Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ subscription-based service offers full access to the entire series, but for a relatively inexpensive monthly fee.

Dandadan Chapter 180 began with Momo and Okarun’s group continuing to search for Kouki’s blackmailer. They confirmed that the three teachers who approached Kouki are Queen, Miss Adachi, and Sanjome (Count Saint-Germain in disguise). However, they couldn’t agree on a prime suspect aside from Queen obviously being innocent. This eventually led into a brief scene confirming Aira’s continued romantic interest in Okarun before focus shifted to Miss Adachi.

She was seen returning to the school, telling fellow teacher Mr. Murakami that her mother wasn’t feeling well. He offered to help however he can while also inviting her to the basketball singles mixer which he and Count Saint-Germain (as Sanjome) were attending. She rejected initially, but he said it was a standing offer. As she walked away, it was revealed she was controlling the jiangshi, which appeared behind her as she texted the Operator.

Focus then shifted to a boy in school named Hase, who discovered some girls were beginning to find Okarun attractive. He was flabbergasted by this, and attempted to jokingly insult the girls when they walked away after getting upset with him. It’s revealed that he lost the race to Okarun in recent chapters, and after doing so was given kozuka knives by the Operator. The issue ended with Hase stabbing himself with the white blade and seemingly gaining yokai powers.

What to expect from Dandadan Chapter 181 (speculative)

Dandadan Chapter 181 will almost certainly open up with a continued focus on Hase, but likely by skipping ahead in time to when he confronts Okarun. This will likely parallel when Aira confronted Momo early on in the series, also teasing that Hase should become a part of their friend group after being defeated (as Kouki seemingly is). Chapter 181 should also give some tease as to what Hase’s yokai powers are in the process of this setup.

However, Chapter 181 will also likely shift focus to Count Saint-Germain in disguise as Sanjome, since this should all take place after the school day ends. Likewise, fans can expect to see Murakami and Sanjome run into Adachi on her way out of school. She’ll likely get an uneasy feeling as she speaks with Sanjome, eventually agreeing to attend the singles mixer after he pressures her to.
