A very small sliver of international fans, like Japanese viewers, will see this translate to a very early Friday morning local release window. Where to watch Dandadan episode 6?

The series is set to stream on both Crunchyroll and Netflix during the Fall 2024 anime season internationally with English subtitles as the series airs weekly in Japan. As of this article’s writing, an English dub has been shown as in production via a trailer, but no other language dubs are currently confirmed.

Dandadan episode 5 began with Okarun nervously arriving at school, finding Momo waiting out front. Assuming she was waiting for someone other than him, he walked by her without saying a word as she watched him do so. She then caught up to and playfully bumped into him, making it clear she was waiting for him. The two then eagerly discussed aliens and their recent encounters before parting ways.

Okarun was happily daydreaming in class while thinking of the fact that Momo is now officially his friend. Momo, meanwhile, was thinking about how she wanted nothing more than to talk about aliens with Okarun. On their free period, they each walked all over the school looking for each other, constantly passing by one another. They then bumped into each other without looking, resulting in them accidentally kissing and revealing their feelings.

However, the reveal that Momo’s friends were present and watched caused the two to bicker. This was eventually resolved later in the day when Momo subtly stood up for Okarun as some girls were bullying him. This also revealed that Okarun’s private parts hadn’t fully returned as they thought. The episode ended with them going to Seiko Ayase for help, resulting in the reveal that Turbo Granny’s powers remained in Okarun while her conscience was transferred to a doll.

What to expect from Dandadan episode 6 (speculative)?

Dandadan episode 6 will likely open up with a focus on Okarun and Momo as they continue the search for his two “kintama” with the help of his newly controllable Turbo Granny powers. However, it will likely be preceded by training with his new powers at Seiko’s behest, especially since his having free reign over them may cause new issues. Momo will also likely take the opportunity to hone her own psychic abilities.

Episode 6 should also begin introducing the series’ supporting cast, the start of which occurred in episode 5 via Aira Shiratori’s introduction. She’s the girl who made fun of Okarun, and will likely play a major role in coming episodes given the timing of her first appearance. However, it’s unclear how this will be set up exactly given her apparent lack of spiritual powers. It’s possible that Momo and Okarun’s next journey will likewise be of a more mundane nature.
