After escaping from the Freya Familia members, Syr takes Bell to an isolated inn. They share a moment, where Syr tries to kiss Bell. However, the boy quickly pushes her off, telling her not to be swept up in the moment. Eventually, they sleep next to each other, but Bell tries to maintain a distance.
The next day, Bell Cranel notices Syr is no longer in the room. He goes to the tavern looking for her and notices Welf. After learning the whole story from Bell, Welf tells him not to leave Syr hanging, and answer her feelings.
After that, Bell Cranel decides to look for Hedin Selland, hoping he may have some clues to Syr's location. Interestingly, he finds Hogni, a Freya Familia member, whose vague and pompous words Bell doesn't understand. Shortly after Hogni leaves, Bell observes Ottarl standing atop a tower.
He glances in a direction as if asking Bell to go there. Eventually, Bell Cranel finds Syr and gives her an accessory she left at the inn. Syr then hugs Bell, imploring him to accept her feelings. Suddenly, Hogni attacks Syr, prompting Bell to defend her.
Ryu and the other tavern waitresses arrive at the scene to aid Bell, while the Gulliver brothers join Hogni. Upon Ryu's suggestion, Bell and Syr escape the scene, leaving the fight to the elf and the cat girls. However, they lose badly against the overwhelming powers of Hogni and Gulliver brothers.
After escaping to a safe location, Syr tells Bell that it's all happening because she acted against her Goddess' will and submitted to her impulse. Although she knows she won't be spared, Syr can't help her feelings. She then tries to hug Bell again, but the boy tightly grabs her hand, and a knife falls off.
Bell knew from the start that someone had been disguising as Syr, especially because she accepted the accessory earlier which was originally Bell Cranel's. After showing her true colors, the imposed admits her loss and tells Bell the location of the original Syr.
Meanwhile, a flashback reveals how the Syr had originally exchanged her identity with Goddess Freya. That's how Freya received the Syr persona from the girl, and gave her another identity, Horn. At present, the Freya Familia members arrive at the scene and interrogate Horn.
Since she shares Freya's consciousness, Horn knows the impact Bell Cranel has on her Goddess. Horn couldn't bear to see her Goddess' regression, which is why, she wanted to kill Bell Cranel. Meanwhile, Bell meets Syr (originally Freya), who confesses her heartfelt feelings to the boy.
Even though it tears Bell from the inside, he rejects Syr's feelings. The scene cuts to Syr, walking listlessly under the rain. She discards her identity and transforms into her original, Freya persona. The episode ends with Goddess Freya asking Ottarl to make the preparations, as she wants to make Bell hers.
