With J.C. Staff finally announcing One Punch Man season 3 for 2025, anime fans worldwide have been gearing up for the upcoming series. Unfortunately, as things stand, not everything might be moving as smoothly as fans expect. This is because production issues surrounding Danmachi season 5 might spell certain doom for One Punch Man season 3's 2025 release.

As fans must know by now, both Danmachi and One Punch Man are being produced by J.C. Staff. Both anime have huge fanbases who expect good production quality for their anime.

With that in mind, J.C. Staff has taken a three-month break before airing the conclusion to Danmachi season 5 anime. This decision could effectively hinder the animation studio's plans for One Punch Man season 3.

As previously announced by J.C. Staff, Danmachi season 5 was listed for 15 episodes. Given the untypical number of episodes in the anime, fans had high hopes for the animation studio, as this meant that J.C. Staff were willing to go beyond their limitations to give fans a good anime adaptation.

This announcement also led fans to believe that J.C. Staff might increase the number of episodes for One Punch Man season 3. Both One Punch Man seasons 1 and 2 were listed for 12 episodes each. This suggested that the series's third season would also be listed for a similar number of episodes.

Such a decision might have forced J.C. Staff to cut down on some source material or end the anime at an odd story development.

Instead, if One Punch Man anime were to follow Danmachi's production pattern, there was a good chance that fans would get more episodes in the third season. As things stand, however, that may not be the case.

While Danmachi season 5 was listed for 15 episodes, as announced by J.C. Staff, the anime's conclusion— episodes 13 to 15— encapsulating The Goddess of Fertility Arc will delayed until Spring 2025.

Many fans believe that J.C. Staff was planning to release the final three episodes in January 2025 but was forced to delay them due to production issues. If that is the case, One Punch Man anime could also face similar production issues.

As previously hinted at by Character Designer Chikashi Kubota, the anime's production was facing some problems. While the issues were never unveiled to the public, they could be similar to what J.C. Staff has been facing with the production of Danmachi season 5 anime.

With that, fans can either expect J.C. Staff to further delay the release of the upcoming One Punch Man anime or delay part of it until much later. For now, fans can only hope that the issues curtailing Danmachi season 5 production don't directly affect the One Punch Man season 5 production.
