My Hero Academia finale is set to be officially released on Monday, August 5, 2024. However, days before its official release, the spoilers from chapter 430 leaked online. With that, fans got an idea of what is set to happen with Deku in My Hero Academia finale, and needless to say, Kohei Horikoshi didn't disappoint.

Following the final battle in My Hero Academia manga, fans were left with one important question, would Deku get his One For All Quirk back? As evident from the manga, he only had its embers left. This suggested that Deku would lose the Quirk just like All Might.

Even so, fans wished for the manga creator to introduce some miracle development that would see the Quirk return to Deku. However, Deku's fate had been locked in from the start of the series itself.

My Hero Academia finale sees All Might grant Deku a second chance at being a hero

As evident from the My Hero Academia chapter 430 spoilers, the My Hero Academia finale experiences an eight-year time skip. With that, the manga explained how after losing the embers of the One For All Quirk, Deku became a teacher to help others even without a Quirk.

However, this was not a decision he made after he lost his Quirk but something he had been thinking about ever since he heard Fuwa's speech during his first day in Class 2A. With that, Deku had essentially gone back to the way he was at the start of the series. While his friends reaped the benefits of being granted a Quirk, he indulged himself in gaining and imparting knowledge about heroes and Quirks.

However, that was not the end of Deku's journey. As explained by Deku, he was sad about not being able to be a Pro Hero anymore. Taking this into account, All Might went to a friend of his in the United States and had him work with Mei Hatsume to create a support item for Deku. This item was funded by his friends, especially Katsuki Bakugo so that Deku could become a hero again.

Hence, My Hero Academia finale not only saw Izuku Midoriya become Quirkless again like at the start of the series but also be granted the chance to become a hero for the second time.

As fans might remember, despite being born Quirkless, Deku idolized All Might and wished to become a hero like him. However, given Deku's timidness, All Might did not think that he could become a hero. But the hero quickly changed his opinion after he saw Deku run to Bakugo to help him. This incident helped All Might realize that the boy was a proper hero at heart. Hence, he decided to grant him his One For All Quirk, making him his successor.

Similarly, My Hero Academia finale saw All Might give Deku his new support item, essentially granting him the chance to be a hero again. However, unlike the last time when All Might needed to be convinced, this time it was he who put in the effort to get the support item created.

Another major change between the two events was how Katsuki Bakugo treated Deku. In the past, Bakugo bullied Deku for possessing the dream of becoming a hero despite being Quirkless. But this time, it was he who believed in Deku the most. This was evident from the fact that he invested the most money to get the support item created.

Therefore, with My Hero Academia finale, Deku's story ended right where it began, except for the fact that everyone knew his worth.
