Delicious in Dungeon episode 20 sees Laios and his party retracing their steps back to the Red Dragon's area, where they discover a magic door leading to a lower level. As the party busies themselves with gathering the materials lost during the Red Dragon's subjugation, Chilchuck finds Izutsumi stealing a few things.

Chilchuk interrupts Izutsumi and starts discussing their origins. An ice golem suddenly appears and engages the party in combat. Chilchuck tells Izutsumi to shatter the Golem's core, oblivious to the fact that Izutsumi cannot locate it. Moments later, Chilchuk shoots an arrow to guide Izutsumi toward the golem's core and both of them end up easily defeating the ice golem.
The next day, Laios and his friends don jackets and prepare to set out. Senshi hands everyone a Mandrake food item, but Izutsumi refuses hers and orders Laios to take it instead. After several refusals from Laios, Izutsumi scratches him, declaring she will not eat monsters. The group continues their journey and seeks refuge in a new cave.
Laios later explains to Marcille that it's a Barometz, a harmless creature that attracts carnivores. As Laios heads toward Izutsumi, several dire wolves appear. While Laios deals with the wolves, Delicious in Dungeon episode 20 cuts to Izutsumi entering a cave. Marcille follows her, and Izutsumi explains why she left Laios with the wolves.
Later, Marcille senses the dire wolves approaching and suggests they retreat, offering to use explosion magic against the wolves. Izutsumi tells Marcille to do as she pleases and continues on her chosen path. Meanwhile, Marcille uses her explosion magic on the dire wolves.
However, later, Izutsumi gets injured by a dire wolf. Fortunately, Marcille arrives and saves her. Marcille then emphasizes that avoiding dislikes can hinder one’s goals. She suggests that Izutsumi accept their shortcuts if she wants to meet the mad magician and continue traveling with the group.
Eventually, they regroup with Laios and the others and learn how Laios scared off the dire wolves Izutsumi left him with. Later, Senshi, Laios, and Marcille praise Izutsumi for eating the meal. Izutsumi scratches them for treating her like a pet and reminds them she won’t eat gross monsters. Finally, Senshi notices Marcille hasn’t eaten her meal. The episode ends with Izutsumi urging Marcille to eat her meal.
Final thoughts
Delicious in Dungeon episode 21 will change the focus and explore the surface world while introducing another faction. The Western elves that have been mentioned so much throughout the story will finally make an appearance in the anime. Kabru and Shuro, who have already returned to the surface, will also appear in episode 21.
