The episode begins with a series of Hizuki's memories playing one after the other. Her past trauma, involving her parents' death and a strained friendship with one of her classmates, is subtly revealed. Following that, the episode returns to Hizuki's residence, where Veltol and others are seen playing video games.
At night, Hizuki switches on the lights and enters the bath only to find Veltol already there. An embarrassing moment unfolds as Hizuki doesn't know what she should do. Eventually, she enters the bath with Veltol, who acknowledges her as a friend.
During their conversation, Hizuki opens up about her past. She mentions how the Reynard family was marked as traitors. As a result, many locals didn't like them. Eventually, Hizuki's parents were attacked and killed. She was also a victim of the attack but survived.
Hizuki mentions how everyone she becomes close with ends up getting hurt. That's why she has distanced herself from everyone.
