The episode begins with Marcus arriving at Machina's house to attack her. She retaliates using her Familia and manages to turn the battle's tide. Suddenly, Marcus's secretary joins the battle. At the same time, the evil immortal uses his own Familia's power to shut down Machina's Familia.

With no way to fight back, Machina is cornered. Marcus reveals he wants to become the next Demon Lord. He then captures Veltol's loyal subordinate to use her as a firewood for the town's Immortal furnace. Meanwhile, Veltol returns home only to see it destroyed.

Takahashi uses her aether hacking skills to find out that Marcus has been behind the girl's abduction. She speculates the director must have taken Machina to the Immortal furnace. Veltol wants to go there and save his subordinate, but Machina feels he's too weak to confront Marcus and his guards.

Suddenly, Veltol gets an idea. He meets Gram the Hero and begs him for his assistance. Although he hesitates at first, Gram eventually accepts Veltol's request. Together, they enter a dungeon, which directly places them atop the furnace's entrance.

Gram uses his auto-mapping skills to find the shortest route. Meanwhile, Takahashi monitors their movements and guides them through a voice communication device.

Yet, as Gram and Veltol approach the entrance, the high density of aether interferes with the network, cutting Takahashi's call. Eventually, they arrive at the entrance, where Marcus's secretary awaits. The episode ends with Machina regaining consciousness in the furnace room, livid to see Marcus.
