Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 6, titled "The Strongest of the Demon Slayer Corps," aired on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 11:15 pm JST. The episode features Tanjiro and Zenitsu reuniting with Inosuke at Stone Hashira Himejima’s training grounds.

Later, Genya joins them, and with his tip, Tanjiro completes Himejima's Hashira training. Muzan, alongside Nakime, appears, searching for Nezuko and Master Ubuyashiki, hinting at the impending ultimate battle.

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 6 sees Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu reunite under Himejima’s training

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 6 opening events: Tanjiro joins training under Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 6 picks up where the previous episode ended, with Tanjiro and Zenitsu joining the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima, for training. Himejima outlines his regime: withstanding under the waterfall, carrying three logs, and pushing a boulder one cho (about 109 meters).

Zenitsu faints at the daunting tasks, and Himejima suggests putting him in the river. Tanjiro soaks Zenitsu in the river, who jolts awake from the cold water. Freezing, Zenitsu leaves the water as another trainee, Murata, suggests warming up on the warm rocks.

Tanjiro struggles in the river, noting the difficulty of the waterfall training. He spots Inosuke under the waterfall, chanting Nembutsu. Motivated by Inosuke, Tanjiro continues, but Inosuke faints under the waterfall. Tanjiro pulls him out and revives him.

Tanjiro joins the waterfall training alongside Murata, who advises them to chant Nembutsu nonstop to stay focused and signal his consciousness. Later, while resting on a rock, Murata praises Tanjiro and Inosuke's resilience on their first day.

Murata mentions he has been there for 10 days and has completed the waterfall training, now moving on to the logs. Tanjiro compliments him on his progress.

In Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 6, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and the trainees discuss their experiences with the Hashiras over dinner. Inosuke asserts Himejima is undoubtedly the strongest Hashira, and Tanjiro agrees, wondering if Himejima has gotten his Demon Slayer mark.

However, Zenitsu disagrees, expressing his dissatisfaction with Himejima. The conversation is interrupted when Tanjiro and the others are astonished to see Himejima chanting Nembutsu while moving an enormous boulder. Impressed, Tanjiro expresses his desire to become like him.

Meanwhile, Inosuke finishes eating and prepares for training with the logs before progressing to the boulder, while Tanjiro and Zenitsu move on to train under the waterfall. After completing their waterfall and log training, Tanjiro finally moves on to the boulder.

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 6 then moves to focus on the demons as Nakime's eyes survey the demon slayers and their movements. She reports having located approximately 65% of them, but has not yet found Nezuko.

Muzan Kibutsuji, seated opposite Nakime, praises her progress and instructs her to monitor a specific area closely. Nakime discovers two demon slayers, and Muzan orders her to continue trailing them, confident that he will soon locate Nezuko and Ubuyashiki.


Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 6: Genya joins Tanjiro and gives him advice on conquering boulder training

The focus returns to Tanjiro as he struggles through the boulder training. Despite six days of effort, he remains unable to budge the boulder. However, he forms strong bonds with his fellow trainees during this time, all sharing a determination to defeat Muzan in their ways.

Eventually, Genya joins Tanjiro, and they talk about the incident during Sanemi's training. During their discussion, Genya suggests Tanjiro should use Repetitive Action to move the boulder.

After Genya departs, Tanjiro attempts to use Genya’s suggestion. The boulder barely moves, but other trainees urging him to join them for dinner interrupt Tanjiro. During dinner, Tanjiro and Genya briefly converse again.

In the concluding scenes of episode 6, Tanjiro returns to training at dawn. Using Repetitive Action, he moves the boulder further and his demon slayer mark manifests. Determined to maintain the marked state, he tries again while Zenitsu and Inosuke watch.

With the rising sun, Tanjiro finally continues pushing the boulder, leaving the other two in awe as he conquers the boulder training. The episode ends with Muzan planning his next move, contemplating Ubuyashiki's appearance and whereabouts.
