The Demon Slayer series’ success can be attributed to the fleshed-out world that Koyoharu Gotouge created. The author introduced a power system that focused on breathing. The demons had a set of rules that governed their combat and multiplying abilities. However, there was one anomaly in the series.
This anomaly has to do with Nezuko Kamado, Tanjiro’s sister who managed to conquer the sun during the series' Swordsmith Village arc.
The manga concluded its run and readers know about the Demon King’s fate. A closer inspection of the series shows that Nezuko, the anomaly in the series, also turned out to be a curse for Muzan due to the properties of her blood.

Demon Slayer: Why is Nezuko considered an anomaly and how was she a curse to Muzan?
Those who have come across Kibutsuji Muzan know that his goal is to achieve true immortality. He wished to conquer the sun while being a demon, which would allow him to live forever. However, he needed the missing ingredient his doctor couldn’t administer because of Muazn’s haste - the Blue Spider Lily. In an attempt to get this ingredient, he decided to create more of his kind to make the search easier.
This is when Upper Moon demons came into being, followed by the creation of weaker demons. Muzan had the power to turn humans into demons by making them consume a portion of his blood. This in turn would give him complete control over every demon. This is why Nezuko is considered an anomaly; Muzan wasn’t able to control her. She was one of the few demons who wasn’t in his control, and she also proceeded to conquer the sun.
She also consumed medicines that Tamayo made, which allowed her to become human again. This means that her blood created antibodies that fought inside her system, slowly reverting to her humanity. Her Blood Demon Art exclusively hurt demons, and she was able to survive without consuming human flesh at all.
Therefore, her blood could have potentially contained properties that would have the exact opposite effect compared to Muzan’s blood. Her blood could potentially help demons revert their humanity. This is how one of the biggest anomalies in Demon Slayer ended up becoming a curse for Muzan.
Conclusion
Nezuko’s blood should have unique properties based on her traits. Her Blood Demon Art exclusively affects demons, she never consumed human flesh, and she conquered the sun. Eventually, she also reverted to her human form. Therefore, her blood in her demonic state could have potentially harmed Muzan’s goal of expanding and finding the final ingredient, as her blood could have helped people revert to their human state.
