With the premiere of Demon Slayer season 4 episode 6, the anime further proceeded with the Hashira Training Arc. This time, the anime saw the protagonist Tanjiro Kamado partake in Gyomei Himejima's Muscle Amplification Training. In the meantime, Muzan Kibutsuji used Nakime to look for Ubuyashiki and Nezuko.

As fans would know, the Hashira Training Arc is only nine chapters long in the manga. Regardless, the Demon Slayer team at Ufotable decided to release an anime for it featuring eight episodes. This decision saw the animation team adding several anime-original scenes. Hence, here we shall look at the differences between the anime and manga for Demon Slayer season 4 episode 5.

Demon Slayer season 4 episode 6 saw several Demon Slayers quit Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima's Muscle Amplification Training mid-way after they realized the training was far too difficult for them. While the manga featured the same scene, the anime added some extra dialogue to increase the episode's runtime.

As the Demon Slayers quit the training and decided to descend the hill, they conveyed to Tanjiro that they were willing to take supporting roles while fighting Muzan Kibutsuji and the demons. This exchange effectively expressed that while the Demon Slayers thought of themselves as weak, they still wanted to defeat Muzan and were willing to do their best, albeit from the sidelines.

While the Demon Slayer manga saw Tanjiro Kamado preparing lunch for other Demon Slayers, Demon Slayer season 4 episode 6 saw the protagonist adapt to the role in a much better way. The episode saw Tanjiro preparing rice balls with extra salt to help the Demon Slayers recover the salts they lost from their bodies while training. He also made roasted rice balls to showcase his skills.

Additionally, the anime also saw Tanjiro preparing dinner for others. This was something that wasn't featured in the manga. The anime also saw Tanjiro remember his family as his fellow Demon Slayers feasted on his rice balls.

While the manga saw Tanjiro Kamado succeed at pushing the rock right after he received advice from Genya Shinazugawa, the anime saw him complete the stage at dawn the next day.

This is how the anime added the extra scenes of Tanjiro preparing dinner for the other Demon Slayers. While the dialogue in the extra scene was derived from the manga, the setting itself was different.
