With the premiere of Demon Slayer season 4 episode 8, the Hashira Training Arc has finally concluded. The anime depicted the events at the Ubuyashiki Mansion as Kagaya ambushed the Demon King. Right after, it featured Hashira attacking Muzan; however, he managed to turn the tables by teleporting all demon slayers to the Infinity Castle.

As fans would know, the Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc only comprises nine manga chapters. Hence, the animation studio Ufotable added a lot of original scenes. With the final episode having a total runtime of over 40 minutes, the studio again added an original scene sequence to the anime.

Demon Slayer season 4 episode 8 majorly adapted the manga's chapters 137–139 perfectly from panel to panel. However, they made some major changes to the source material from the manga at the end of the episode.

Demon Slayer chapter 139 saw Muzan Kibutsuji turn the tables on Tanjiro Kamado and the Hashira by teleporting all of them into the Infinity Castle with some help from the new Upper Moon Demon Nakime. This entire sequence was just four pages long in the manga. However, the animation studio Ufotable stretched the same for 3 minutes with some original scenes.

The manga featured Tanjiro and Hashira falling inside the Infinity Castle and later explaining that all demon slayers had been teleported to the location. However, the anime gave fans a glimpse of the same.

It started with Genya Shinazugawa, who could be seen doing some shooting practice. Unfortunately, his practice got interrupted as he fell into the Infinity Castle.

Following that, the anime showed what Inosuke Hashibira was up to. He could be seen having shrimp beneath a tree. But the moment he bit into the snack, the ground beneath was replaced with a gateway for the Infinity Castle.

Surprisingly, the anime adapted one of the extra illustrations in the manga to show how Inosuke felt about the developments. He was excited and put on his boar mask mid-air while falling into the Infinity Castle. That single illustration helped the anime add another 10 seconds of the original scene.

In addition, the anime also showed glimpses of Kanao Tsuyuri, Murata, and other demon slayers falling into the Demon King's lair. This scene was possibly depicted to portray that all demon slayers had been teleported to the location and not just the series' primary and supporting characters.

Right after, Zenitsu Agatsuma was also shown falling into the Infinity Castle. However, unlike his general demeanor, where he would be scared in such a situation, the demon slayer appeared calm and collected. This could be a hint at Zenitsu's new demeanor, which was first seen when he received a letter during his Muscle Amplification Training.

Lastly, the anime showed the Hashira falling into the Infinity Castle. During this, the series made it very clear that some Hashira were left alone while others were paired up.

Shinobu Kocho and Sanemi Shinazugawa could be seen alone, while the other Hashira were paired up. Muichiro Tokito was paired up with Gyomei Himejima, Mitsuri Kanroji was paired up with Obanai Iguro, and Giyu Tomioka was paired up with Tanjiro Kamado.

Nevertheless, before Tanjiro could fall deep down into the castle, he found himself on a platform. This was the point when Muzan Kibutsuji was shown threatening the demon slayers. However, in the manga, he expressed his menacing intent as the demon slayers fell.

Right after, the platform beneath Tanjiro opened up, forcing him to fall further deep into the Demon King's lair. Unlike the manga, where Tanjiro swore to take down Muzan right when he fell, this is where the anime showed Tanjiro making his declaration.
