Mirio Togata, better known by his hero name, Lemillion, is one of the most adored characters in the My Hero Academia universe. Renowned for his unwavering spirit and extraordinary bravery, Mirio’s journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions, particularly in context to his quirk, Permeation.

Mirio lost his Quirk after his fight against Overhaul, the loss of his Quirk caused fans to question if Mirio ever got his Quirk back. The question lingered as Mirio trained and supported his friends despite losing his powers. The issue gained attention in Season 6 of the anime as fans watched in anticipation to see if Mirio would return as Lemillion.

How Mirio gets his Quirk back, explained

To answer the question, yes, Mirio did get his powers back with the help of Eri's quirk, Rewind, which enables her to rewind the state of a living being. Although Mirio suffered a great deal when he lost his Quirk, he never gave up. He persisted in his training and in helping his friends because he believed in the prophecy of his mentor, Sir Nighteye, who foresaw a bright future for him.

Rewind is a very strong but difficult Quirk to control. Eri trained under Eraserhead to master her abilities, alongside Mirio’s unwavering support and encouragement. She was able to successfully use rewind to restore Mirio's Quirk during the Paranormal Liberation War arc. The process involved her undoing the effects of the bullet that destroyed Mirio’s Quirk, essentially rewinding the state of his body.

Mirio’s return was a crucial point in the storyline. He appeared, with his Quirk intact, when the heroes were on the brink of defeat. His unexpected arrival caught several Nomu off guard and allowed him to prevent the death of many heroes. His ability to phase through solid objects made him an invaluable asset. The worn-out heroes were given newfound strength to fight on thanks to Mirio's unwavering determination and courage.


How Mirio lost his Quirk in My Hero Academia

Mirio faced one of his most challenging battles during the Shie Hassaikai arc in My Hero Academia. It was a fierce and high-stakes battle against Overhaul, the leader of the Shie Hassaikai. Overhaul’s goal was to use Eri’s rewind to create Quirk-destroying bullets which had the potential to change the balance of power in the world of heroes and villains.

Though the odds were stacked against him, Mirio fought valiantly, making the most of his Quirk. His ability to phase through solid matter made him a potent opponent. However, the battle took a turn for the worse when Shin Nemoto, managed to shoot a Quirk-destroying bullet at Eri. Mirio, in the true spirit of a hero, instinctively jumped in front of Eri to protect her from the bullet, sacrificing his Quirk in the process.

Losing his Quirk was a significant blow, not only to him but also to his friends and mentors. However, it also paved the way for his eventual recovery and strengthened his relationship with Eri. Despite losing his powers, he continued to fight valiantly, showcasing the nature of a real hero.

Mirio's future as a Pro Hero after regaining his Quirk

Mirio appears to have a very bright future as a Pro Hero now that his Quirk has been restored. His ongoing development and commitment to heroism are demonstrated in the manga.
