Too Many Losing Heroines anime series concluded on September 28, 2024, with its 12th episode. The episode was focused on the date between Anna Yanami and Kazuhiko Nukumizu and hinted that these two kissed each other.

This brought into question the relationship status of Nukumizu and Anna. The majority of the fandom thought that these two characters started dating. However, the anime series, being a romcom, stays true to its genre.

Nukumizu and Anna didn't start dating and were on a fake date organized for the latter so she could show her friends that she had a boyfriend. This all started when Yanami realized she was cute. Nukumizu devised a plan titled 'Fake Date Project' in which they went on a fake date, and Anna Yanami took Nukumizu's pictures (without revealing her face) to show her friends.

Too Many Losing Heroines episode 12 was titled Am I Actually Just Some Unseasoned Rando Who Drops In for the Last Episode with the Losing Heroine?. It was a filler episode, and it commenced with Yanami and Nukumizu having lunch together, as usual, when the former blurted out that she was cute.

She was getting invitations from her friends and wanted to discuss having a boyfriend. So, Nuzumiku set up a group meeting with the other girls, Yakishio Lemon and Chika Komari, and recommended a plan titled 'Yanami's Fake-a-boyfriend Project.' Yanami wanted to keep this private, but she left everything to Nukumizu as he was the one who recommended it.

After much overthinking, Nukumizu got tickets for a free visit to an amusement park from Kunoki-sensei. The next day, he took all three girls to the amusement park to execute the plan of Yanami's fake boyfriend. As expected, the plan didn't go as planned because Yanami was more focused on eating than taking pictures of her fake boyfriend.

However, Karen and Sousuke had also visited the amusement park, and the group witnessed them while they were taking part in their 'cheap thrill.' This put Anna Yanami from a jolly mode to a depressed mode. Nukumizu instantly changed the scenery and took Yanami to the play area, where he tried to divert her attention from what they saw.

The day ended with Yanami and Nukumizu riding a Ferris Wheel as Yakishio and Chika went on their own adventures. On the Ferris Wheel, things got a little sentimental for Nukumizu, who said that Yanamki could get a boyfriend pretty easily and that she doesn't need to resort to such tricks.

Yanami started smirking and sat next to Nukumizu. The episode then saw their faces close in, hinting that they kissed. However, their reactions were pretty lukewarm after this, hinting that Yanami did something else. As they had just met Karen and his boyfriend, Yanami decided not to post pictures of her boyfriend because it would be obvious that the boyfriend was Nukumizu.

Although it was indicated in the starting episodes that Nukumizu could have romantic feelings for Yanami, these feelings changed after witnessing Yanami's 'bold' personality. However, there is no telling what the future holds as this was a filler episode, and things could be decided in a sequel if it is announced.
