My Hero Academia season 7 episode 11 featured one of the series' most heartbreaking developments yet, with the fan-favorite Katsuki Bakugo suffering an extremely fatal injury in his battle against Shigaraki/AFO. This left a question among the fans on whether or not he survived the attack.
Despite suffering a serious injury at the hands of Shigaraki in the previous episode, Bakugo shocked everyone on the battlefield by fighting through his pain to try and put an end to the notorious villain once and for all.
However, the combined efforts of Bakugo and the U.A. High heroes weren't enough to stop Shigaraki, who launched a devastating attack on Bakugo towards the end of My Hero Academia season 7 episode 11. Although Bakugo did indeed die momentarily as a result of this attack, which ruptured his heart, fans can rest assured that the character would live to see another day, thanks to the efforts of the Pro Hero, Edgeshot.

Explaining how Bakugo survived Shigaraki's attack in My Hero Academia season 7 episode 11
The cliffhanger ending of My Hero Academia season 7 episode 11 left almost the entirety of the anime-only fanbase in a state of shock and grief, as the beloved Katsuki Bakugo seemingly met his end against Tomura Shigaraki/AFO. To make matters worse for the fans, the episode also featured a touching backstory for Bakugo, which showcased his more vulnerable and soft side.
A few moments before his "death", Bakugo managed to unleash his Cluster attack on Shigaraki/AFO's body, which proved to be one of the only attacks that could deal lasting damage to the villain's body.
The fact that Bakugo, who Shigaraki/AFO had considered to be a "nobody", managed to deal significant damage to him, enraged the villain to no end. When Bakugo was close enough for him to attack, Shigaraki landed a devastating punch on the former's body, which immediately tore his heart to shreds and ended his life.
That said, fans can rest assured that My Hero Academia season 7 episode 11 didn't mark the end of Bakugo's journey in the series, as the character was eventually revived by Shinya Kamihara, aka the Pro Hero Edgeshot.
When the Pro Heroes realized what had happened to Bakugo, Edgeshot emerged to be the only one who could potentially save the former's life. Since Bakugo was the only one who could read Shigaraki's moves and actually go toe-to-toe with him, Edgeshot realized Bakugo's worth in changing the tide of the battle and opted to sacrifice his own life for the latter's sake.
Coupled with his extensive knowledge of the human body and his Foldabody Quirk, Edgeshot stretched himself thin to the point of death and turned himself into a replacement heart for Bakugo's body. His decision to sacrifice his own life was justified due to his belief that Bakugo was instrumental in defeating Shigaraki/AFO, seeing as to how his Cluster attack was the only thing that dealt damage to the nigh-invincible villain.
In My Hero Academia chapter 405, Edgeshot was fortunately confirmed to be still alive. He then explained to the heroes he used his own body to keep Bakugo's innards intact and guaranteed that they would not come untangled.
Although Edgeshot may have saved Bakugo from certain death, he warned the latter that every breath he took would deal an immense amount of agony to his body.
However, Bakugo hardly seemed bothered by this fact, as he used his second chance at life by saving his childhood hero All Might from the clutches of All For One, and even put a definitive end to the latter, albeit temporarily.
