Charlotte Pudding does have a Devil Fruit in One Piece, which is the Paramecia-type Memo-Memo Fruit (also called the Memo Memo no Mi). While she doesn’t fight with it throughout the Whole Cake Island Arc, there are several key points at which she uses it. Likewise, her uses of it highlight the Devil Fruit’s main powers and abilities, which involve memory manipulation and projection of others.

The user can extract a person’s memories by reaching into their head and giving these memories corporeal form as various film strips. The user can then use scissors and paste to cut out or insert various parts of the target’s memories. The removed frames can also seemingly be kept by the user for an indefinite amount of time based on Pudding’s use. The extraction is also painful enough to cause fainting, which can be another key tool in manipulating a target’s mind.

However, there are some drawbacks to the Memo-Memo Fruit that other memory-altering Devil Fruits in One Piece do not have. One is that the memory alteration only applies to the target and not any third party who was present for that memory’s events. For starters, she’s a half-member of the Three-Eye Tribe, meaning she is capable of awakening the ability to hear the Voice of All Things. This could allow her to decipher the text on the Poneglyphs. She also uses her third eye as a shocking psychological attack on others when the situation calls for it.

Pudding is also very deceitful and sneaky, utilizing her acting skills throughout the entirety of the Whole Cake Island Arc. She’s even been shown capable of deceiving Sanji and Luffy with these acting skills despite how powerful each is in Observation Haki. She was also able to deceive Nami, who, while not an Observation Haki user, is still incredibly perceptive in her own right.

Pudding is also shown to have a very strong will, capable of withstanding Big Mom’s Conqueror’s Haki during her fit over Mother Carmel’s portrait. Likewise, Pudding also possesses the ability to master Observation Haki and Armament Haki, as does every human in the series. However, beyond the above and her Devil Fruit, she boasts no major powers or abilities in the series as of this article’s writing.
