Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13 was recently leaked and a lot of fans have been asking if Hidari survived, because of the way the recent releases have come out. The main character, Boruto, managed to defeat Hidari, and a lot of people have assumed that he is dead now, although Jura's actions in chapter 13 have shown that this isn't the case.
Jura manages to get Hidari's Thorn Soul Bulb as a way to revive him through the Claw Mark Cube, which is going to be a pivotal element in the coming chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. It also shows that dealing with the Shinju clones is a lot more difficult than just taking their lives, since there are ways they can be brought back to life.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and answering the question: "Does Hidari survive?"
Hidari was defeated by Boruto and was brought back to life by Jura by placing his Thorn Soul Bulb into the Claw Mark Cube at the Shinju plane. It was also revealed by Hira's conversation with Jura that he is still intact in terms of memories and consciousness, thus showing the sense of individuality he has gained throughout the story.
This shows that the Shinju can not only be created but that they can also be brought back to life. That is going to be a key factor moving forward for the story, since it proves that these villains are going to be difficult to kill, which is something that can define certain plot points.
This event is also likely to be key for the character of Hidari since he was beaten by Boruto and the help of his friends, which could lead to him becoming stronger. These entities have also proven that they can adapt to a lot of different situations and learn on the fly, which can be a major threat to the Hidden Leaf Village in the coming chapters.
The role of Hidari in the story
There is a strong argument to be made that Hidari was introduced in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex as a somewhat weaker Shinju clone than Jura to gauge their abilities when compared to the main cast. From a narrative perspective, it makes a lot of sense to show what they are made of and also to further develop their concept as totally different entities.
In that regard, Hidari is also connected to one of the most popular characters in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Sasuke Uchiha, since the latter's chakra was used to create the former. That is something that has built a connection of sorts with the character of Sarada Uchiha, Sasuke's daughter, so they are likely going to face each other again and next time could be a lot more definitive.
Final thoughts
Hidari is still alive in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and was brought back to life by Jura after the former was defeated by the protagonist. That adds another element of lore to the story and shows that these Shinju clones are not going to be taken down with ease.
