As fans might remember, by the end of Demon Slayer manga, Muzan Kibutsuji gets killed and both Nezuko and Tanjiro who had been turned into demons, revert to humans. Does this mean that all demons in the series were either killed or reverted to humans? Did Yushiro, Lady Tamayo's helper, turn back into a human at the end of Kimetsu no Yaiba manga?

The answer is no. Yushiro does not become a human in Demon Slayer manga. While it is true that Muzan Kibutsuji's death led to the extinction of all demons created by him, Yushiro was an exception.

This is because he was not created by Muzan but by Tamayo. As for Tanjiro and Nezuko, the only reason they reverted into humans is due to the antidote created by Lady Tamayo, the last of which was used on Tanjiro.

At the end of the Demon Slayer manga, Yushiro becomes the last known survivor of the demon race and becomes a world-famous painter under the name of Yushiro Yamamoto.

Three months after the battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, Yushiro visited Tanjiro at the Butterfly Mansion. During this, he mentioned that Tanjiro was lucky that Kanao had a spare vial of antidote to rescue him. In addition, he praised his valiant effort during the battle.

But after seeing Tanjiro tear up and modestly respond to the praise, Yushiro retorted his statement and prepared to leave. Just before he could leave, Tanjiro stopped him asking him not to die. This is because being the last surviving demon, Yushiro was the only one who could keep Tamayo's memory alive.

The demon was seemingly deeply affected by this statement as he paused a second to absorb what Tanjiro said and left the mansion to be never seen again. It was only later as part of the "modern-day" epilogue that the manga revealed what Yushiro had been up to.

After heeding Tanjiro's words, Yushiro decided to keep Lady Tamayo's memory alive by creating incredibly intricate paintings of her. The demon's paintings had turned out so good that he received critical acclaim and became a world-famous painter in the present day. Given his status in society and to avoid people's suspicion, Yushiro later adopted a second name and worked under the name of "Yushiro Yamamoto."

So, no, Yushiro did not become a human being in Demon Slayer manga. In fact, he was the last known surviving demon. After listening to Tanjiro's words, he chose to spend his eternal life creating artwork that would keep Lady Tamayo's memory alive. So, this plan worked as Yushiro's 812th work, Tamayo with Dark Blue Flowers, was Yoshiteru Agatsuma's first love.

Similarly, there could be many people in the manga's universe who admired Tamayo.
