The Demon Slayer series, in comparison to other Shonen titles, is quite short. It only has about 200 odd chapters and the anime is currently ongoing. Despite its length, the worldbuilding in this series is quite thorough. The series has established a power system and other relevant combat elements. One such element that has gained much importance at this juncture is the Demon Slayer Mark.

This is a mark that allows demon hunters to utilize their full potential. This mark gives the demon hunter an advantage on the battlefield and only a select few managed to activate it. In order for a person to activate the mark, one must undergo extreme physical stress and complete certain requirements.

One question that fans have is - does Zenitsu get a Demon Slayer Mark? No, Zenitsu does not get a Demon Slayer Mark during the course of the series.

Does Zenitsu get a Demon Slayer Mark? Taking a look at his most impressive feat in the series

As stated earlier, Zenitsu does not develop the Mark in the manga series. However, he has managed to achieve some impressive feats that not many can boast about.

Developing the Mark is no easy task. The only ones from the current generation who managed to develop the Marks are Tanjiro Kamado, Muichiro Tokito, Mitsuri Kanroji, Gyomei Himejima, Sanemi Shinazugawa, Obanai Iguro and Giyu Tomioka. Apart from them, Yoriichi Tsukiguni and Michikatsu Tsukiguni also developed the Marks.

This makes Tanjiro the only non-Hashira from the current generation of demon hunters to achieve this feat.

Zenitsu is an incredibly talented swordsman who managed to defeat an Upper Moon demon all by himself. In the Infinity Castle arc of the series, we will see Zenitsu take on his former upperclassman, Kaigaku. He was a human being who lost the battle to Kokushibo and was presented with two options - death or transforming into a demon.

Kaigaku being the coward that he is, chose the latter and became a demon. Jigoro, having taught Kaigaku the Thunder Breathing Technique, took his own life to atone for his sins. He confronted Kaigaku who at that point became the new Upper Rank 6 demon. Zenitsu did not cower and fought after losing consciousness.

This was one of those rare situations where Zenitsu Agatsuma was fully awake and took on an Upper Moon demon head-on. He proceeded to beat the demon all by himself and killed him with a new form that he created. Zenitsu also played his part when the demon hunters took on Kibutsuji Muzan towards the concluding moments of the manga.

The Demon Slayer Mark appears on a demon hunter who has managed to survive a life-threatening event while their body temperature is above 102 degrees Fahrenheit and increases their heart rate to over 200 beats per minute. This is often coupled with an extremely impactful emotion that evokes a sense of anger and frustration.

The Mark has a resonant effect, allowing people to unlock their respective Marks after coming in contact with the first person who manages to do so. The drawback of having said Mark is that the demon hunter in question will not live past the age of 25. The only exception was Yoriichi Tsukiguni who was the only demon hunter to have been born with the Mark.

The Mark also allows certain individuals to access Transparent World. The user can view their opponent’s body as a transparent layer, being able to perceive the flow of blood as well as every twitch of the muscle fibers in their body. The demon hunters who activate the Mark also develop a bright red-colored Nichirin blade which increases the efficacy of the blade’s cutting abilities.
