Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 is set to be released on May 20, 2024. The spoilers for the chapter have already been unveiled and fans' prayers may have finally been answered as the strongest sorcerer is likely to return to the series.
As expected by fans, the chapter saw some Boogie Woogie action as Aoi showcased his cursed technique. Surprisingly, Sukuna couldn't get a hold of his cursed technique but continued to attack the protagonist and even tried activating his domain expansion once again.
But before the Sukuna (King of Curses) could activate his domain, a mysterious silhouette stopped him which is speculated to be Gojo Satoru. While most of the fandom should be happy about their favorite character's possible return, some netizens are angry as they think the author is playing with them by teasing the strongest sorcerer's return.

Fans react to Gege Akutami teasing Gojo's return in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260
Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 spoilers commenced with the reveal of Vibraslap, a piece of equipment that Aoi Todou used to activate his Boogie Woogie cursed technique. The equipment restricted the number of times the sorcerer could use the cursed technique but he could still give the King of Curses a run for his money.
He started by getting everyone out of the effective range of Sukuna's domain expansion, while the King of Curses was baffled over what was happening around him. Then came the time for the main battle as Aoi helped Yuji attack Sukuna with his Boogie Woogie.
With this, Yuji could sneak up on Sukuna and pierce him. But the King of Curses hadn't given up and tried activating his domain expansion. A mysterious silhouette appeared and stopped Sukuna's domain. The narrator described this silhouette as:
"The silhoutte of the strongest ghost whom Sukuna had killed with his own hands."
This heavily indicated that the silhouette could be of Gojo Satoru. The fandom of the series, however, reacted suspiciously, thinking that Gege Akutami might be teasing his return and playing with their feelings.
Reaction from fans on the possible return of Gojo Satoru
A big part of the fandom didn't trust the author of Jujutsu Kaiseni with this sneaky move and questioned him if he was just playing with their feelings or was it actually Gojo who appeared at the end of chapter 260. Some fans even stated that what if it wasn't Gojo, thus wanting some sort of confirmation.
Gege don't f*cking play with me, is that Gojo," a fan wrote on X.
"Imagine that’s not gojo," another fan commented.
"CONFIRMED OR NOT?," another X user wrote.
On the other hand, a section of the fandom thought of ways to justify how the silhouette that appeared in chapter 260 could be Gojo Satoru. There exists a popular theory regarding his comeback which involves him losing one eye in return for gaining his life back.
A Binding Vow could be involved in this, which could make his return to the final fight possible. Meanwhile, some fans assumed that the silhouette was Gojo indeed and hailed his return.
"He no longer has his left eye? Probably used a binding vow and sacrificed one of his eyes or something," a fan said.
"THE KING IS BACK," another X user claimed.
"The strongest one is back," a comment read.
As seen through these comments, netizens were divided over Gojo Satoru's possible return in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260.
