Dr. Stone season 4 episode 1 is set to release on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 12:00AM JST according to the series’ official website. With the series’ upcoming return marking the beginning of its end, it’s undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated series in a Winter 2025 season relatively sparse of big names.

Although formal leaks for the television anime series of the Winter 2025 season are unlikely, Dr. Stone season 4 episode 1 at least has officially confirmed its release information.

The upcoming Winter 2025 anime series has already confirmed that it will be streamed internationally via Crunchyroll’s platform. This was confirmed via Crunchyroll’s release of their full lineup and schedule for their Winter 2025 anime season offerings. Crunchyroll has also confirmed that the series will stream with English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Castilian Spanish, Russian, and Arabic dubs.

Dr. Stone season 3 began with the need for Senku Ishigami and co to investigate the source of the source of the massive Petrification Beam at the series’ start. This requires him to travel to the other side of the world, also necessitating the construction of a ship capable of such a journey. As they work to complete this larger goal, they find a morse code signal repeating the question “why?” over and over again.

Senku and his allies add locating and defeating the so-called Why-man into their plans, believing him to be linked to the source of the massive Petrification Beam as well. The group sets off for Treasure Island as a result, needing some platinum Senku’s father hid there to revive enough people to fight off enemy forces. However, upon arrival, most of Senku’s allies are petrified inexplicably while staying behind with their ship.

Senku’s chief enemy is eventually revealed as Ibara, the head of the Petrification Kingdom and wielder of a Medusa Device, which creates the Petrification Beam. After a long struggle, Senku and his allies emerge victorious, claiming both the platinum and the Medusa as their spoils. After healing Tsukasa with both, Senku reveals the group’s next plan is to keep reviving people, setting off for the United States to do so with the help of alcohol brewed from sweetcorn.

Dr. Stone season 4 episode 1 is titled Ryusui vs Senku. As revealed by the preview synopsis, the episode will see Senku and his allies continue their journey towards America. However, the topic of discussion on the protagonist's ship is the route to their destination.

Both Senku and Ryusui are recommending different routes to America. So, to settle this dispute, these two engage in a poker duel hosted by Francois. So, who will win in this battle of poker: the genius of science or the genius of sailing? (This episode was previewed during the Jump Festa 2025)
