Dragon Ball fans were left frustrated as Bardock lost against Omni-Man from Invincible in the recent Death Battle event, which many people didn't understand. It is no secret that author Akira Toriyama's series has several characters who scale quite high in other series' power scales, so Goku's father losing against Mark Grayson made no sense.

There were also some statements made by Dragon Ball fans on X that Death Battle doesn't clearly understand their favorite series and how they rank in terms of power. That is also displayed by Omni-Man's feats throughout his own story, which doesn't stack up to what Bardock has done throughout his journey.

Dragon Ball fans go to war on X for Bardock's defeat in Death Battle

Many DB fans were quite frustrated with Bardock's defeat against Invincible's Omni-Man in Death Battle because it wasn't a proper representation of their character and how he stacks up in terms of power. There has been a long-running feud between these two fandoms since they stated that the Vegeta of the Saiyan Saga could destroy the other series.

Moreover, while Death Battle is an extremely popular YouTube channel, there is no denying that they have a track record of not properly representing some characters. In that regard, Bardock has the power, experience, and battle spirit to overcome Omni-Man, which makes the result all the more baffling, all things considered.

This is why some fans have voiced that other characters, such as Goku, Gohan, or even Jiren, should participate in the channel and defeat someone else with ease. It is difficult to see when something can happen but there is no denying that the recent Bardock performance was extremely divisive within the community.

Reactions online

On the other hand, some people have commented that Death Battle has featured characters such as Frieza defeating Megatron from Transformers, although that didn't appease that fandom. There is a general perception that this fandom doesn't like the series, although that can be interpreted to some degree.

Some even have mentioned that this anime won 7 out of 15 fights in Death Battle, which would rank up to about 47% of its win rate. This means that the series has won almost half of its battles, which is not amazing but at least shows a degree of unbiased approach by the channel, despite what the fans might think in some shape or form.

"Of the 15 Death Battles that had DB characters fight characters from other franchises, they have won 7. 47% of their fights they've won," someone said.
"Honestly they just pick who they favor most from what it looks like. Since some fights make no sense, and all that 'data' that they go through is probably just half for their least favorite while they go full detail for someone they enjoy more… Bardock should of won this match," another person said.
"its cuz death battle is sponsored by the Frieza Force," someone else said.

Naturally, the purpose of Death Battle is to have fun with these imaginary fights and Dragon Ball fans shouldn't take it too personally.
