Reviewing Dragon Ball Daima episode 10
Dragon Ball Daima episode 10: A brief synopsis
Dragon Ball Daima episode 10 starts with action from the get-go as Dr. Arinsu sends Majin Kuu to fight Tamagami Number One, although the latter proves too much for the doctor's creation. The two characters are seen fighting every so often in the episode until Majin Kuu admits defeat, much to Arinsu's annoyance, as she decides to "fire" him.
The episode mainly focuses on Goku and his party reaching and exploring the Second Demon Realm, a vast ocean filled with a few small islands. As they are flying, they are attacked by the Military Police, and Goku takes care of them. Then, their ship is destroyed by a giant monster named Kraken, with Panzy barely saving the Dragon Ball as the protagonist saves her life.
Then Dragon Ball Daima episode 10 has Goku and his party waiting for Vegeta's party to take them, with the entire group then heading to the old Namek planet where the Namekian used to live in the Demon Realm.
This is when Shin explains to Bulma how Rymus created the multiverse and how the Glind was chosen to become the Kaioshin of each universe. The episode ends with a cliffhanger as the old Namekian Neva reaches their ship.
Narrative review of Dragon Ball Daima episode 10: A lot of new information flew better with dynamic sequences
Dragon Ball Daima episode 10 was clearly divided between the first half being very action-packed and the second one being more informative, although finding a healthy balance. The action sequences also served to show the viewer a degree of the strength of Tamagami Number One and Majin Kuu while also displaying the dangerous nature of the ocean in the Second Demon Realm.
While the fighting sequences are always welcomed, and Toei Animation continues to excel in that department with this series, the most fascinating aspect of the episode was the new information. The revelations made by Shin connect Daima with Super by talking about the multiverse and introducing Rymus, and also add more history to the Demon Realm, with the previous Demon Kings playing a role in these events.
In this regard, it is understandable that people think that episode 10 serves more as a transition, but that is fairly normal considering the adventurous nature of this series. However, this one did add more to the story while also expanding the lore of this franchise even further.
Dragon Ball Daima episode 10: Reviewing the production, animation, soundtracks, and voice acting
The voice cast continues to be one of the strongest aspects of the series thus far. The characters all show a lot of personality, such as Hybis' blunt nature, Vegeta getting jealous regarding Bulma, or Goku's lighthearted approach to things. The voice actors have been delivering a very solid performance.
The animation is another strong point, highlighted by how well-animated the Kraken was in this episode and how fluid the fight between Tamagami Number One and Majin Kuu was without them doing anything over the top. This is also coupled with consistent visuals and drawings, making the series feel of the highest quality regardless of the episode.
It is easy to say that Dragon Ball Daima episode 10, and this anime as a whole, doesn't have the most notorious soundtrack. While there are some moments where it does stand out, it is mostly subdued, which will divide opinions in the long term.
Final thoughts
Dragon Ball Daima episode 10 had a lot of revelations and interesting information while also delivering great action and excitement. It is a balance that has become notorious with this series thus far and is its greatest strength, coupled with stellar animation and a solid direction.
