With the release of Dragon Ball Daima episode 12, the anime episode finally saw Toei Animation give fans something that they have always wanted, i.e., Vegeta Super Saiyan 3. Additionally, the anime episode saw Majin Duu defeat Tamagami One and acquire the one-star dragon ball.

The previous anime episode saw Arinsu and Marba create the second Majin, Majin Duu. Arinsu and Majin Kuu immediately took the new Majin to fight Tamagami One. Elsewhere, Neva joined Goku's group and reached Tamagami Two's location. Vegeta started fighting the Tamagami but was seemingly swallowed by the Kraken mid-battle.

Dragon Ball Daima episode 12, titled True Strength, picked up from where the previous episode ended as Goku and friends were worried about Vegeta. For a moment it seemed like the Kraken swallowed him. However, the Saiyan had survived the ordeal and continued his battle with Tamagami Two.

As the fight progressed, Vegeta turned Super Saiyan 2 to keep up with the Tamagami. This move essentially helped the Saiyan overpower his opponent. Hence, Neva gave Tamagami Two a power boost, helping Vegeta have a fun, tough fight.

Elsewhere, the fight between Majin Duu and Tamagami One featured some new developments. While Majin Duu was dominating the fight, he stopped mid-way and expressed his desire to eat chocolates. Just as it seemed like the Majin would lose, Majin Kuu fed him chocolate, motivating him to fight back against the Tamagami. With that, the anime saw Majin Duu defeat Tamagami One.

However, similar to the previous Tamagami fight in the anime, this fight was also followed by trivia. Majin Duu was presented with an extremely long arithmetic problem. While neither Arinsu nor Duu was able to solve it, Kuu calculated it and whispered the same for Duu to answer. With that, Majin Duu won the one-star dragon ball for Arinsu.

King Gomah and Degesu were watching these events live and were left worried over Arinsu's goals. Elsewhere, the fight between Vegeta and Tamagami Two was inching towards its climax. With the battle being drawn out, Vegeta decided to unleash his full strength. Hence, the anime saw Vegeta turn into Super Saiyan 3. Evidently, Son Goku did not know that Vegeta was capable of this transformation.

Vegeta's Super Saiyan 3 transformation allowed him to toy with Tamagami Two as he fought him without using his arms. However, after some back and forth, the Saiyan ended the fight. With that, the Tamagami initiated the trivia round. Vegeta was presented with an extensive word problem. While it seemed impossible to solve, the Saiyan answered correctly using some general knowledge.

With that, the anime saw Vegeta acquire the two-star dragon ball. Right after, Goku and his friends decided to head to the First Demon Realm to fight Tamagami One. However, just as they were about to leave, their plane faced some engine issues. Fortunately, Panzy managed to fix it in a jiffy.
