Dragon Ball Daima has revealed many surprising details about the series' lore and established races and characters, but episode 11 left a bad taste in most fans' mouths regarding Piccolo's characterization. In the episode, the main cast was talking with the older Namekian Neva, and Piccolo mentioned that he had forgotten how to speak his race's language.
This statement annoyed many fans, who considered it disrespectful to Piccolo's legacy. In the series, Piccolo was seen talking in Namekian. In fact, in the Namek saga, he fused with Nail, someone quite experienced in that race's culture and ways, which makes the statement in Dragon Ball Daima all the more baffling.

Piccolo fans annoyed after the character forgets to speak Namekian in Dragon Ball Daima
As the main party talked with the older Namekian Neva in episode 11 of Daima, he mentioned that the Demon Realm Dragon Balls can only be activated through their race's language. Meanwhile, Piccolo said he had forgotten how to speak it since he had spent all his life on Earth. Many fans of Piccolo were quite frustrated by this statement because it is a plothole and only makes him look bad.
Piccolo and Kami talked in Namekian to one another during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. They eventually fused into one during the Android saga, which means that this version of the character knows that language from two different sources. He also fused with Nail in the Namek and has all of his memories, making this line from Daima's episode 11 all the more bizarre.
This is clearly a plothole since there is evidence that Piccolo knows how to speak Namekian and also a way to force Neva into joining the party. It makes Piccolo, someone usually quite smart and reliable, look irresponsible and disconnected from his race, which doesn't make sense when considering that Nail is a part of him.
"It's clearly a pothole" — Fans react to Piccolo's statement in Daima's episode 11
Piccolo's dialogue in Dragon Ball Daima can be considered a pothole. It is not the first one in the franchise since author Akira Toriyama always tended to forget certain elements. The legendary mangaka even mentioned how he infamously forgot he created the character of Launch. Considering he wrote the story of Daima, there is a chance he forgot that Piccolo could speak Namekian.
This is coupled with Neva's recent comments about how Piccolo reminds him of Katatz, with the latter confirming that man was his father. Many fans originally thought this was a change made by this series, but the Elder Guru mentioned Katatz in the Namek saga. The character's origin as the reincarnation of Demon King Piccolo and Kami's evil half is already complicated enough.
"honestly people bring up that scene a lot but the real issue is he has ALL of Nail's memories LMAOOOO," someone said.
"What I first think when seeing this is he's either lying because of whatever reason, it's maybe a plot hole (has happened before), or it just shows that Piccolo doesn't even visit Dende and Mr. Popo much, or others who speak Namekian, or??? It's definitely strange for sure!" another person said.
"what's more funny is people trying to defend Piccolo forgetting the language here lol. saying he hasn't used it in years. BULL. it's clearly a plothole, the world won't end if you agree on this. idk why people are getting too defensive about this," someone else said.
There is a chance that Dragon Ball Daima will address this topic as the party searches for Dende in the Demon Realm. However, as of this writing, there is a considerable plothole regarding Piccolo's character.
