The Fated Battle Between Brothers arc was everything that Naruto fans had been waiting for - given that it featured the highly anticipated clash between Itachi and Sasuke Uchiha. To this day, it remains one of Naruto's greatest story arcs. The heartbreaking conclusion of the final battle between Itachi and Sasuke is also considered one of the series' most memorable yet devastating developments.

However, not everyone seems to agree upon the arc's greatness, as a recent critique by an X user on the Fated Battle Between Brothers arc incited the collective wrath of the Naruto fandom.

An animanga fan with the username @LocalW_ on the social media platform X recently shared their thoughts on one of Naruto's most beloved story arcs - The Fated Battle Between Brothers arc. This arc saw the rivalry between Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha reach a devastating conclusion, as the latter tragically lost his life at the hands of his younger brother.

This arc is widely considered one of the series' pinnacles for many reasons. Not only did it feature the shocking truth behind the Uchiha Clan massacre, but it also served as a crucial turning point for the series. Fans have deemed it a masterclass in storytelling to this day, as it created an unforgettable experience for any Naruto fan.

However, according to user @LocalW_ on X, this arc was extremely disappointing for them, and labeled the conclusion of Itachi's storyline "utter garbage." They went on to express that although the arc started out really strong with the battle between Sasuke and Itachi, it eventually reached its low point when it revealed the latter's motivations behind massacring his entire clan.

The user continued that Itachi prioritized keeping the safety of the Hidden Leaf Village at the cost of murdering his own family. In doing so, he turned his back on his people and swore loyalty to those who would still discriminate against him in the future.

With this, the user concluded their take on this arc, saying that Itachi was a character with so many contradictory aspects that it ended up making him inconsistent. The user also expressed frustration with the manga, saying that it portrayed Itachi as a tragic hero who was given no other option.

As expected, the user's post ended up dividing the fandom again, as people argued over the user's opinion and questioned its validity.

The Naruto fandom was again divided on their opinion on the unique take of the user @LocalW_, as the majority of the fans slammed the user for slandering the beloved arc and demanded that they drop the series.

"Terrible take. Basically saying 'I don't agree with Itachi's decisions therefore it's bad,'" said one fan.

"This take is absolutely horrendous brother," another chimed in.

"This is one of the tweets of all time. pls just stop reading atp," said another.

On the other hand, some agreed with the user's take, claiming that the Fated Battle Between Brothers arc wasn't as great as people consider it to be.

"I actually agree that it was severely disappointing . Felt forced in a way," one fan claimed.

"Holy W. This arc is overrated af," said one fan.

"It's entertainment, why always have to look for the bad in good things." Another fan wrote.

Lastly, some fans simply opted to avoid any conflict and declared that, at the end of the day, it's all entertainment, and they shouldn't look for bad in good things.
