Dungeon People episode 1, titled 'A Person in the Dungeon,' revealed Clay's past and why she headed into a dungeon. She was looking for clues surrounding her father's disappearance. However, the monster mistakenly broke a wall during her fight against a monster in the ninth level. This incident saw the dungeon's administrator, Beilleheila Langdass, appear out of the hole.

Soon after, Belle offered Clay to work for her. While Clay was confused upon learning that Belle was the boss of the dungeon's tenth level, she wanted to fight her. Hence, Clay challenged Belle to a fight with the condition that she would work for her if she were defeated. Soon after, Belle defeated Clay and gave her a contract for the dungeon job.
